LC Specs

Post by backstagejack »

So I'm ordering a Wested LC (probably out of Novapelle).

I'm going to have a seamstress friend of mine measure me so I'm good there, but...

I was wondering what exact specs I should give them in regards to pockets, collars, etc....any hints or tips?

I did try search...and I didn't come up with anything conclusive. I figured I could get the definitive collection of SA LC specs. Accurate pockets (as I know they were supposedly larger) accurate collar (so it will drap down and not clown out), etc.

the pockets are not larger, they are smaller and more square with a large flap. the collar IS big and will look like an Elvis collar to some.

My mistake....I thought I read somewhere that they made the pockets larger to fit the grail diary in....maybe just for that one scene or so...

From the archive it was said the inside pocket was larger for the diary. So who knows.

Good luck with your jacket.
Even though it is locked it is a realvent thread for someone wanting to buy a custom Wested. A spec sheet is a roll of the dice sometimes you win sometimes you don't ask Knibs7. If you can afford it call Tony Nowak, he will make just how you want. He already has a good idea what the LC should look like.

I am not afraid to spread the word about TN.

He has NEVER let me down.

Nobody has told you that you should be afraid to spread the word of TN. Even I do it and I dont have one. I know he makes good quality stuff.

The reason why I said dont bring it up is because that thread is a 'war brewing' thread that I DONT want to flame up again in here. Thats why I locked that thread...

Don't overlook the Magnoli LC - it has specs from an actual LC jacket and looks pretty good. But maybe it's too expensive too.

Peter shoudl be able to do it, but most of his LC's look nothign liek the film ones - esp the pockets.

Magnoli's LC looks incredible. I think he does the collar exceptionally well. What did you hear about him getting the original specs?

It was in a post not too long ago by member here. He said he sent both Wested and Magnoli specifications from his study of the LC at the Smithsonian.
The topic it as in seems to be gone.

Probably like a lot of threads around here. They just disappear with no explanation given.
