You know what looks good to you. I'm afraid I have to agree that I think the pockets are still too far away from the storm flap. I didn't want to put that thought in your mind if you were happy with it though.

I'd agree there, the pockets are probably too far away from the storm flap. Are they at least closer than the first jacket?

the fit looks alot better than the first one. the first one looked too small in the chest/waist. this one looks like it sits comfortably on you when zipped. congrats on ending the nightmare.

Im assuming that because they upsized the jacket, they feel that the pockets have to be moved further back. Im going to just start distressing it one of these days, and maybe it will end up looking better. I love the feel of the lambskin, and the drape and what not, Im just getting really sick of plunking down alot of money for things and them not turning out right.

So yeah...pics to follow tomorrow. Id sleep in the jacket tonight but its about 80 here and its 10:45 at night.

Enjoy your holiday weekend everyone!

I think the fit looks good! Looks like it sits nicely and it's not hanging off of you in weird places like it would if it were too big. Also it doesn't look too snug where it would be obviously small. I like it, and you liking the leather is really important, so I'm glad you're happy with it. The lambskin is really beautiful (isn't it? Wow!) but it just doesn't weigh enough for my tastes, which is why I picked the goat. It is one fantastic hide though.

Whether or not it's an exact replica of Harrison's jacket is a moot point to me. If it looks good on you (Hint: It looks good), that's what matters. You can still say it was copied from a screen used jacket.

Looking forward to better pics!

Hi Joyce,

It's looking good going by the side shot. When you take the next pics, make sure the camera is at chest height and further back from you and zoomed in, not you standing close and it zoomed back, if that makes sense. And don't forget to get some unzipped shots.

Skip the centrefold edition though! :?

If you are still not happy with it call Peter and see if he will make another jacket that is exactly what you want and send it to you free of charge and let you keep the one you have now.

I think I ordered Authentic Lamb. Its definitely Lamb, but seeing as how I made the order waaaaayyyy back in January, I dont even know anything anymore. I soaked it today and wore it with the sleeves all pushed up and played video games for a few hours. I took it off to let it relax, and I noticed that the really distinctive creases were all at the bottom of the sleeve, and not at the top.

So I soaked it again, and I just layed it out on the couch with a tube in the arms, and the arms all scrunched up again. I hope it works this time. At least thats one hurdle done.

Have to distress it this week, because Im going to debut my TOD Indy at a comic con this weekend, even the torn shirt underneath for when I have to throw someone into a rock crusher.

oh..no dont distress it... please... you will regret this after the con is over, then you want to wear it again as a everyday jacket and you'l be sorry you did.

what you can do is to dust it down in fullers earth and then wipe of the excess. that gives the effect of an distressed jacket.

dont say I didnt try to stop you. ;)

Yeah man - I'm with Holt on this - it looks like it could be a good, tailored looking jacket on you once it breaks in - don't distress it just because you're getting frustrated with the situation.

Let me add my voice to theirs, IJ. Just dust it with Fuller's as Holt suggested. You'll have a great look for the con and then you can wear it as an everyday jacket afterword by just cleaning off the Fullers.

Thanks guys, but I wear my LC style Novapelle for everyday. To me, an Indy jacket just doesnt look right until it looks like its been slept in every night and dragged behind a truck.

Id say that when I get a goat Raiders, that I wont distress it, but man would I be lying.

You could just try wetting the jacket down and beating it. They did so for the movie too, and it will give some nice effects, but then again your jacket may never look the same ! so try with extreme caution :D

Yup. just fullers earth. A heavy, heavy coating of it. i reccomend washing it off than using a coat of Pecards(which I have not done yet.)

I apparently did Holt. I cant see it but it does get mentioned. I wanted to be ripped, but, this is a good start. Just like TOD, i have a recent back injury as well. I need a papaya enzyme.

Actually, i need to take pics of just the jacket, I distressed it before i used the fullers earth. the combo of the two is just stellar.

Great news! I am having myself professionally photographed this Sunday in my Indy gear. Mind you, when you see the finished project, I will be wearing my TOD as both TOD and Raiders, as I dont have a Raiders jacket...I picked up some more props today as well too. I am very excited!
