It's official:as of today I am member of the "club". TN Raiders #79/888 arrived at my doorstep today \:D/

Man.... Only now do I fully understand what all the fuss is about.....

Pictures will follow during the weekend as I am babysitting on my nieces because my sister is in hospital recovering from an apendectomy (she's alright, just a litle sore) and my brother in law is visiting her (he's allright, just a litle stressed :P ).

As promised, a picture of me in my new Nowak. Well..... a picture in "full" gear, as I was taking pictures with my two buddies Tripod and Timer Function for Mitch's thread over at the scrapbook ;)

Image

I knew how good it was going to look, so what surprised me are the materials. I couldn't believe how sturdy the liner felt, so when Tony called me to ask me how I liked it I asked him what it was. It's the same materials they use as lining on parachute-bags  Guess it will be a long time before that wears out  Also the material used inside the handwarmers feels like it could survive a war, a nuclear holocaust and being drug by a truck

I realy liked the colour of this jacket and when I told Tony he was releaved: turns out that the leather for my jacket turned out a litle darker than usual. I'm realy glad it did!

Is it normal that you can hardly get yourself to take it off? :[

Geert it really looks great. It already looks like you've been wearing it for years instead of days.

and yes, you don't want to take it off, or it doesn't want to come off. It just 'takes over'

It's the shrunken lamb, but the "newer" type. I didn't ask for a specific type and the non-"croco" is what I got. Wouldn't have minded if I had gotten the "croco" though, but this also looks great :D Especialy with this darker colour 8)

Anyways, can't wait to see the pics!.......knowing Tony, it'll be another masterpiece for sure. Personally, I'm waiting 'til fall to order the 747 cow......buying a jacket right now in the summer means it'll just sit in the closet.

As you can see the grain on this jacket is far from uniform: some areas have a realy tight grain, while other areas have more of a wrinkled appearance.

I didn't think you would have, especially so soon, and because it looks so good already. But that texture there is COOL. I second the call for more photos!

Very nice. These photos show it to be slightly darker than other Shrunken lamb for this jacket, at least by photos. Tony's concerned about the colour because he matched it to the original and wants it right. I don't think he has anything to worry about.
In the garden shot the jacket looks very dark, but as others have said, still looks as dark as appears in same scenes in the movie.

No it's not 23.5 front and back: Although I'm 6'1" like Ford, I have a long torso unlike Ford, so 23.5 would be a full inch too short for me ;) I have always had problems with jackets unless they were available in Long, and even then the sleeves were usualy too long for me. My dad however is the same height as I am, but on him this jacket would be way too long.

I had the funniest (and bizarre) comment on my shrunken lamb tonight!......My cousin came over to my house tonight and when he saw my shrunken lamb for the first time, he said, "Why do you have a scrotum Indy jacket?".... :rolling:

I answered that it was made from the scrotums of sacred cows in Nepal!

Sounds like you have a similar problem as me fitting jackets, mainly off the rack. Usually a regular has sleeves that are to short and waist is too high, but not always. Sometimes a long is just right other times the waist is in the right place but the jacket body is too long.

My TN Raiders has the front at 23" and it's OK. (but then the Raiders is meant to be a short jacket anyway) You just never know.
Your's looks right.

How long are the sleeves on your jacket?

Earlier, I took a photo of my newly recieved Terrry Jacka, and I just couldn't resist sharing it with the jacket section!

Image

Now, it is more than happy keeping my very first Nowak CS jacket company! :D ...not to mention the special AB CS-liner run fedora, as well as Indy's screen-used bed from KotCS!

The Nowak is simply incredible, and now after it has finally pushed the one year mark, I have to say that I am loving this particular more and more everyday! It has gained the kind of love that only age can imbue, and if any of you guys think your Nowaks are soft... Just wait! The Nowak in that photo has become buttery soft (in a good way!), and though it feels so comfortably suede like, it definetely is still a tough fighter! I just cannot believe that even without any Pecards, this jacket still seems well nourished!

It is especially surprising, considering that some of my other jackets which were not from Tony felt pretty stiff and dry after hitting the year-mark, even with a good rub of Pecards every now and then!

Indy G! Have you noticed your jacket sneaking off to the kitchen at night to replenish itself? Or does it simply feed off our life forces like that infamous symbiote? I'm beginning to consider that as a strong possibility! :D :P ;)

Oh, and for those of you wondering if the embroidery would 'show through' on the back of the jacket? Hasn't happened to any of my CS jackets so far!
