I think Raider'S points are good ones - we're trying to compare apples and oranges with oranges and apples. You'd need to tease out the (at least 2) different raider pocket styles and compare to them. EG the first 2 distinct styles in Mac's list. Personally I far prefer the first style and I think the Nowak nails it like no other, so I'm very happy.Raider S wrote:To my eyes, the Todd's and G&B look different from one another. They look closest to the second Raider's example and the Nowak closest to the first Raider's example.
On my flaps, made months apart, I didn't give any instructions, photos, or even photos of the first jacket to model the second after. I just expected to get whatever it was I would get. I my case I happen to have four nearly identical flaps on two jackets.
Re the exaggerated TN thing. What I was trying to show is that extra scalloped look, the tinyest camera angle can make it look "worse" than it really is. A key point here is that we take most pics of pockets either level to or BELOW the pocket as we lay them on a desk or whatever, and do so with a wide-ish lens. HOWEVER, most of the shots of pockets (if not all) in the move are taken with a long lens, from ABOVE the pockets. MASSIVE difference to how we perceive the scalloping.
