I just recieved a US Wings in Medium, however it is a bit too small.
I originally went with Wings because I heard how tough their jackets were supposed to be, being built to military specs. After recieving it the construction seems top notch. However, now I'm trying to decide if I want to try and deal with getting an exchange from them and trying to find one of their generic sizes that fit, or just to order from Wested.
I know the Wested is a quality jacket, but how much abuse can they take? Would a goat Wested be comparable in toughness to a US Wings? I want a jacket that will last me a long time and take any abuse.

The US Wings goatskin jacket is probably more sturdy than a Wested goatskin jacket by way of it's being made to military spec standards. I know of a fellow fan that had the stitching in one of the pleats of his Wested goatskin come undone. Of course, the lining that came with my US Wings goatskin jacket rendered it unwearable. I had to have it replaced by a tailor. I believe that US Wings now uses cotton to line most of their Indy jackets. I'd call to make sure what I was getting if I ordered one. Cheers
