How long have you been carrying an MK VII Bag?

As a followup to etrivet1989's post about feeling a bit self conscious about carrying an Mag Bag, just curious as to how long those of you with MK VII bags have been carrying yours around?

Me, about 2 weeks and many more to come!

Almost daily since I got my first bag 5 years ago. I've carried plenty of bags before, but the MKVII is the perfect size and design for me.

I got my bag last June. I only wore it sporadically, like for conventions (even when I'm not dressing up as Indy), amusement parks, etc. However, since I got my netbook last month, I find myself carrying it around more often.

I don't get to wear it a lot since I have large textbooks to put in there, but whenever I find myself in need of a bag to carry a bunch of little things, (camera, food, pencil and notebook, extra falls, pecards, etc., et al., ad infinitum) I'll take the MkVII without a second look. Mine current one's a vintage issued one with a Magnoli strap, but I've probably had one and been using it like this for 3 or 4 years.

I've had an original bag for about 10 years, but started daily use about a year ago. Hm, what happened a year ago that may have changed my bag carrying habits??

I bought a Magnoli last year and I carry my laptop most of the time in it. When I go fossil hunting with my nephew I throw my in my gear and speciman containers. It really is a great bag! My brother had a birthday last week and he has been loving the bag so much, I gave it to him as a gift....I am now using an Authentic MK VII bag I picked up at a flee market just a few weeks ago. I still have to get a leather strap for it.

I am going to order another bag from magnoli next week!

I've used various original VIIs and VIs for the past 6 years. The only one that wore out was because I had bleached it several times and re-dyed it and it killed the webbing.

Must be one small laptop to fit in that bag. Due to the lack of padding, I never carry anything electronic in mine.

I wore my replica from WPG for about a year or more (maybe 2 years) until I lost my job last October. Since then, it's been sporadic, but when I don't have it is when I needed something that I was carrying in it. I'm starting to take in on excursions around town and hopefully a new job pops open soon, so it will once again become a daily tote.

I have been carring my Mag Bag for almost a year. I use it daily. It replaced my briefcase. I love it!

Just realised i've had my magnoli bag for a year. Use it weekly, though too small for my work laptop

I also use it when i'm doing shore & intertidal surveys for work

I don't use mine on a daily basis but it's great when travelling! I've taken mine from Egypt to Tunisia to South America. It's a very handy size for day trips and sight seeing.

I had had close enough gear since 81, but it wasn't till Lee Keppler had his ad in STAR WARS INSIDER that i got my first SA bag during the LC period. Though technically my first SA piece was the whip from David Morgan which I got in April 89 before the film opened. I ordered everything else Lee offered as well, but sold most of it when I upgraded to SCREEN ACCURATE CS gear in HF size(which fits me, by the way). The only thing I still have is the bag, but I recently bought a W+G bag to go with the AB Aldens. I plan on getting SA ROTLA gear so i can change looks when the mood suits me. It's a great time to be a gearhead. $\:D/$ Not like the dark ages of the early 80's.

I JUST realized this....and I know I'm slow. I NEVER realized that the knight cuts off indy's bag in LC.....geez. I've been watching this for 20 years and I JUST noticed...I feel stupid.

But on topic. I've been carrying mine around for 10 years or so. It worked great as a school bag and I even wear it at Ren fair for part of my costume...even if its a little anachronistic.
