Well, I received the whip in record time but only just now had a chance to give it a go (he shipped it on Saturday and I got it on Tuesday...Monday was a holiday). I just finished up a practice session (about an hour and a half). Being that is is my first all Roo whip I really don't have anything to compare it too but my first impression was how tightly it was braided. And it seems to be starting to loosen up nicely...still a long way to go though. I was amazed that when you follow the DeLongis techniques (correctly ) how easily it cracks. That is except for the forward throw...guess It'll have to break in a bit more. I even got a few figure 8's (slow and fast) out of it today.

I'm in love And that long handle is sweet!!! The extra binding on the transition effectively makes it a 13 or 14 inch handle

Can anyone tell me how long it usually takes to break in to get that DeLongis rolling style?...I know he uses Jacka whips and those things look like they are braided tighter than a drum. It would be interesting to hear the break in times for the different whipmakers.

In my experience it's hard to judge the lenght of time for a whip to break in. One day it's new, then you forget about trying to "break it in" and the next thing you know it's less stiff.

Thats a really nice looking whip, , yeah Paul's and Lauren's whips are made to preform, the more you use it the better it'll get.

I have a couple of whips on order also , since you have yours that means it might be getting closer to the time for mine to be made ,,,,,,, .

Thanks Robby, that was my intent exactly with the longer handle. I wanted a whip for multiple cracks, target work and to use the DeLongis style....basically, I wanted a whip that was good for everything.

By the way, I have your DVDs as well and have enjoyed them very much...Thank you.
