My Aldens are going to be three years old this February, and I've had them reheeled once, but the soles are almost at the crucial point of no return, but not there yet. My local shoe repair place is now out of business, so has anyone had the restoration service done before, and if so, should I go this route?
Thanks!!
Alden shoes restoration procedure, is it worth it?

Just to add my voice to IJ, if all you're needing is a resole and the body is fine, my answer would be 'no', that's not $160 (at least that's what I believe the going price is at the moment for a rebuild) well spent, when you could just have the bottoms overhauled and you're good to go. You might want to try the Shoe doctor they do a great job and the cost is very fair.
