The pockets and cut off the jacket are interesting. I like the leather, looks like it will break in nicely. Who made that jacket?

Coming from the Land down under as you do, Darthbish, is that a...Global Gear Indy jacket, as seen in a thread from earlier today?
The pockets look the same, but it's hard to tell. It's certainly...interesting.

I don't think so. The leather on the Global Gear jacket seems to have a more matte finish and the flaps on these pockets seem to be very scalloped with very sharp points. The Global Gear jacket's pocket flaps don't appear so severe. Just my assumption, though.

Nope, I bet it's a Global Gear 'Indiana Jones style' jacket. No hem stitch, the pockets, the high straps, the lining colour; it sure looks like the pics on
their website. Funny that one should appear so soon after a thread about them! Of course, I could be wrong... :?

Does look similar to the Global Gear jacket. But I suspect it isn't. Costumebase?

Is it me or are those side straps a wee bit high?

I wouldn't say its a SA jacket - but definitely an Indy inspired look. All that matters is if you like it. That's the most important.

Only about 5 inches too high, but you're right, all that matters is if he likes it

Not a Global Gear jacket? See, I told you I could be wrong!
It's even got D-rings like the GG jacket too.. Pics of the back would be nice though.
Are you going to tell us where it's from? Could it be 'home-made'?
And if it's not from Global Gear, I still think it's from the same maker that supplies theirs.
They're just so similar. Which is not really a good thing.

Well, the back certainly looks like the Global Gear jacket. I know its not, but it sure looks like it. Its an interesting spin on the Indy jacket, to say the least.

OK.I'll admit it.....

As you may know I recently went to Thailand.
Showed a Tailor a couple of pics, and he whipped it up in two days

Fits me like a glove with a Thai silk liner...I LOVE it..

Wow, that certainly is a unique piece of Indygear... It almost looks like an Indy/Mutt jacket hybrid! ;)

Well, all up we got 3 tailored shirts made of Thai silk, two pairs of tailored pants and the Jacket for $600 AUS.

Now that averages to 100 each, but it's probably more like the $150 - 200ish mark for the jacket and less for the others

Love the way the shoulder action panels are made .....like a functional motorcycle shoulder....looks a lot like jacket Tony Alameda wore in first 3/4 of '24' this year....could stand for the sleeves to be a little more tapered and openings a little narrower....might use little of money you saved and have good local tailor make it primo........a good find...... ;)

Very nice break in, the sleeves, cuffs have really shaped up.......did you have any tailoring or just wetting and molding only.......what about a pic of the back of shoulders, was one of my favorite features
