Did anyone ever find this jacket?

Post by Mississippi Jones »

Remember this photo that came out in Empire Magazine?

http://www.wonderfulmachine.com/blog/wp ... n-ford.jpg

I think I remember seeing some threads about this jacket, but I can't remember if it was ever found. It's a real nice jacket. Did anybody ever find the maker? Maybe Indy Magnoli can help us out. ;)

It looks like a modified A-2 with zippered pockets on the sleeves. Doesn't seem too hard to make a copy.

MODS:
I didn't know if I should post this in the Leather Jacket forum or Lao Che's Table. If it's in the wrong place, I apologize and please move it to the proper forum.

I was watching The Tonight Show a couple nights ago and Leno was wearing either the same jacket or one identical to it during a Jaywalking segment. I don't know who makes it, but it is a nice jacket.

Looks like a replica of the pre/early war, horse hide A-2 to me. There are several manufacturers about.

It´s definitely not a replica of any government issued WWII A-2. Fords Jacket has penpockets on the sleeve and press studs on the windflap instead of a hook and eye on the collar.
Seems to be a modern day civil version of the A-2 and two sizes too big on Ford. ;)

I think it's just the way he is. Right shoulder lower than the left. That or he saw Holt's photos and knew it's the way forward. ;)

Not when he's around an airplane. He's more serious about that than even his acting career. =;

Im starting to wonder if this is how jackets hang on Ford.

I mean you clearly can see the right collar side hangs lower then the left.

and this is exactly how the leather jackets hangs on him in many, many scenes thru out 4 Indiana jones movies

Yeah, but he had the jacket-sliding-off-one-side issue as early as Raiders - I guess if anyone's watching Star Wars, etc. it's something to look for.

Does his little black Han Solo vest do this? :D
