So, buying a shirt soon...SA being key!
Maybe I'm missing something but to my eye, AB looks to be the more SA of the shirts available in terms of color and weave- feel free to interject here but yeah.
Anyone who's bought one I'd appreciate a price quote as I can't make head nor tails of it on their site!
Also, how's it hold up under everyday usage?
I know there were variations in the shirts used in Raiders as well, from scene to scene, but what do you think of an AB in comparison to the other offers available to us in terms of screen accuracy to the Cairo fight scene?
Seriously. I've got to get these on blu ray some day (don't think they're offering the originals yet) rather than VHS originals (except KotCS which I have on blu ray)- if only for the sake of freeze frames and high def screen caps!

I like my AB but the epaulettes seem to be sightly too forward compared to the Todds and the Wested. It's still a beautiful shirt --- can't tell you about the price as I bought mine through the Bazaar.

They're roughly $100 US. I've heard the epaulett thing from others, but from the photos I've seen of AB's, the color's better than my Todd's. I'm probably going to get an AB sometime soon.

I've got a Todds and AB, and love the AB. I'm actually going to take mine to a seamstress to fix the epaulettes, and have them lined up with the shirt shoulder seam where it is at the collar like they do on the Noel Howard shirts. I think at that after that it will be bang on SA. Todds is a good shirt too, but colour is too yellow. Fit and feel is great though. I'd spend a little extra, and get the AB and make any adjustments you have to. I find nothing fits OTR anymore.

Yeah, at some point, that tapered waist just stops working for you!binkmeisterRick wrote:Well, the older I get, the lest OTR I become!
I really enjoy my Wested shirt. I think the proportions are great, although the color is a little too light. I'm hoping to get a Todd's very soon, but I don't think I'll spring for the AB just now. I prefer the shirt to be correct and the color a little off, since color changes so much from scene to scene anyway.

That's a great look Tundraider. I agree about finding the line between getting the look, and SA. For example, the non-slip whip holder is not SA, however, the bottom line is that the real whip holder doesn't hold the whip, and if you wanted to be SA, you'd have to tie it with nylon fishing line. I'm not about to do that.
Great gear. I think the shirt looks really good.

AB is an awsome shirt, I have just about all shirts by every vendor (I think) and I love the feel and comfort of my AB, as far as every day use, I wear mine all the time.
Only issue I have: the sleeves are just a bit long, causing the sleeves to bunch up some. Not sure if thats SA or not.
Next week I've decided to take it to the tailor and have them shortened.

NH if you can get one at all?? I was not happy until I had one. NH nailed it! Getting a size larger than a typical shirt you normally wear is very highly recommended!

Tundraraider, your first Todd's shirt looks very similar to mine color wise. Did you do anything to remove some of the yellow?
Also, has anyone ACTUALLY had the epaulett's moved on an AB? If so I'd love to see some pics!

I'm starting to have that taper problem also, I find if I want to keep my shirts tapered, I have to tapor my fork as well.maboot38 wrote:Yeah, at some point, that tapered waist just stops working for you!binkmeisterRick wrote:Well, the older I get, the lest OTR I become!

I find that the epaulettes are waaaay too long on Todd's shirts.
