Virgin Island Grey Fedora

Post by thatguyno1 »

Well we made it back from the Virgin Islands but it was hard leaving such a beautiful place. The weather was gorgeous for my daughter's wedding and everything went perfectly. Many thanks to Steve for not only making my Grey CS but also getting it to me in time for the wedding trip.

The view from the balcony at the Ritz Carlton:

Kelly got married in the Gazebo about 20 feet from the beach:

And last but not least - the traveling Adventurebilt Grey Fedora:

Thank You Steve Delk!!!!

Congratulations/Best wishes on your daughter's marriage, and the hat looks REALLY SHARP!!! Did you wear it when walking her down the aisle?

I actually did not wear it walking her down the aisle but that was the only time I didn't wear it. Even though the wedding was outside, I didn't think it was appropraite to wear it for the ceremony itself (that was just my feeling and not based on any ettiquette protocol), plus I also thought it might draw attention away from my daughter which I would not risk on her special day.

Having said that - I think I could be wearing a rainbow colored beanie hat with a propeller on top and not have distracted from my daughter in her wedding dress (just a proud father's humble opinion)

Some of you may remember her in an old post about my TOD fedora.

Congatulations!

And I agree - you did the right in not wearing the hat in the ceremony itself, out of respect to the beautiful protagonist!

Plenty of occasions to wear it! :D

Congratulations Paul on all the beauty going on in your life right now.
:)

A beautiful Daughter
A beautiful Occasion
A beautiful Setting
Beautiful weather on the day of the Ceremony
And last but not least, a beautiful lid (whether it's atop your noggin' or in an adjacent room... it's always good to have a hat of that quality nearby!)

All the Best to you and YOURS, Paul... it looks like it was a wonderful day!

Congratulations Paul - looks like everything was perfect. Good call on not wearing the fedora, but I think you are right that you could not have stolen the show from your beautiful daughter.

Paul,
Congrats to the lovely bride and to you. That's a very nice lid and I wish I was into fedoras more when I got married. Otherwise I'd get a hat like Dr Ulloa is for his wedding. Best Wishes!

You could always renew your vows, JC. It would be a nice gesture and you can get a fine hat made for the occasion.
