Eddie Bauer Jackets - Take a Peek

Post by Modern Jones »

Hey guys. First, I've been with the site for about 2 years now, but I almost never go into the jackets section. It's the other addictive section of the Forum to part with your money!!!

I came across these on the Eddie Bauer website. I know squat about the jackets these days, but I'm hoping to learn more.

Leather Gasoline Jacket
$224 - Regular [reg. $299]
$239 - Tall [reg. $322]

Journeyman Jacket
$204 - Regular [reg. $279]

The lineing on these 2 would be very hot and for a few bucks more you could get a real Indy jacket from Wested. :D

I like the look of the top one, particularily for winter wear. Not quite an Indy jacket, of course, but still nice looking. The only thing I don't like are the horizontal lines going across the chest.

Nice finds, Skip.

Nice find. It's amazing, but how many jackets resemble the Indy Jacket in certain details over the past 20+ years. Maybe not all the details are correct, but to the Average Joe on the street, it's an Indy Jacket.

I like the color on the 2nd one, the Journeyman Jacket.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I was getting a complex when noone responded! Minnesota you are so right ..... to the average Joe they wouldn't know the difference. But we would with the gear.

My first impression was the color of the "Journeyman" style. It looks really sharp as a whole. Liners, pockets & gussets ...... Oh my!!! :D I'll have to get more details on the Wested, etc..

Very true. I'm going to have to do my homework and read old posts on the jackets (prices, differences, etc.) What are those prices on the curretn offerings?

I have a feeling that this is a road you can't come back from!? Yikes!!!

No problem James! I hope everything runs smooth for a while. Give it some time and there will be new things to upgrade too. It doesn't matter what OS (operating system) you run, these days. Every time I teach or install a new one (Windows, Linux or OSX) there are tons of little updates you have to use and patches.

Security classes are becoming huge (Windows XP anyone?! )

I cruise the Fedora, Lao Che and General Gear sections. I can only focus on one piece of gear at a time ($$$). But it's becoming colder in the Northeast, right Renderking! Which prompted an interest. I've always had bomber-type jackets, but I want to put a more accurate gear-set together.

I thought ping-pong balls were floating out of the sky! The flakes were huge. It's funny the weather difference when you're above 495. My parents are just in the belt and the usually get half as much.

Please, no 4 letter words posts, specifically S-N-O-W! It was 84 here yesterday, supposed to be 75 today, and the bottom falling out this weekend, taking us into the 40's and 50's for day time highs. Going directly from cotton Indy jacket STRAIGHT to goatskin in less than 24 hours, skipping right over lambskin wearing weather. Ain't that the berries? :( Regards. Michaelson
