ULTIMATE Hat Case?

Post by Castor Dioscuri »

While looking around for some hat stands, I happened upon what I think may be perhaps the ultimate hat case for those of us looking to secure our investments!

This is a Stainless Steel combination lock case. This Stainless Steel Case includes a Removable and Adjustable hat liner.

This looks *very* interesting, and I'm considering getting one if it really is half as good as it looks! Anybody have any experience with this?

It looks just like the handgun case that WalMart had a few years ago, except the inside had foam to protect the gun. As soon as I decided that I wanted to go to WalMart and buy a couple, they didn't have them and I haven't seen them there since. That is the story of my life. A day late and a dollar short.

It also looks like the case that my best set of barbeque tools came in. I like that barbeque tools case a lot.

I am sure that this will be one heck of a hat box, as long as the box is a proper size and the adjustable hat stand works well. It says adjustable hat liner, I am assuming that they are talking about what holds the hat. I would call it a hat stand or pedestal or something other than liner. I guess it is the liner of that particular box, though.

At first glance, I would think it would be great for someone that wants to travel and take more than the hat on their head. However, I don't know how a metal box with a combination lock is going to go over with airport security. I don't see anyway to use those special luggage locks that they sell. Somebody with more knowledge than me about airline security can probably answer that. I would hate to go to luggage pickup and have my hat box arrive with the locks busted off and my hat coming down the conveyor belt with a piece of samsonite luggage laying on top of it.

Looks like the "football" all you need is the handcuffs, dark suit and shades. 8)

BendingOak just got some new hat boxes in that look spectacular. Definately worth checking out. I think they look nicer than this one, though this seems more like a travel case.
