1/6th Bullwhips

Post by Indywanabe91 »

Who knows a place or someone who makes 12 plait Indy bullwhips in 1/6th scale for 12" action figures

Lauren Wickline of Midwest Whips makes great 1/6-scale bullwhips, but not in 12-plait. I'm not sure if it's humanly possible to braid a 12-plait whip at that scale.

Well that might be true about 12-plait my mistake but when I searched I found that nothernwhip Co sells mini whips but not sure if its 1/6 or on the price but its 8-plait and one is 12-plait I think

Cute! That looks a lot like the ones that Lauren made for me and KT Templar. Here's mine:

Joe has just posted in his gallery page a pic of a 1/6 KOTCS bullwhip he made recently. I could be 8-plait...the pic -and specially the whip- are too small to tell.

The 12 plait miniature bull that I saw while visiting Joe was extremely impressive and actually cracked, but it is bigger than 1/6. I have a pic of it somewhere...I'll look around to see if I can find it.

Lauren's mini whips are impressive too. You really have to see one in person to realize how tiny they actually are. You'd think you'll need a magnifying glass to make them. She was kind enough to give me one as a present for my birthday last year! :D

Bernardo

I sure do... I can make one scaled to be a 10ft or an 8ft, whichever you want. Just drop me a line if you're interested. They're a pain to make, but I enjoy doing one every once in a while - the finished product is really fun to play around with, and you can actually get a light little pop out of 'em if you do it gentle and just right.

Thanks Lauren. Like your fantastic mini whips, it was a pain to make, but awfully cool to look at. :D
