Thanks! Yeah, it's a light distress job.

I got "Fortune & Glory" under the standard "Custom Made by Tony Nowak" inscription, in gold thread.

The extra length I'm guessing is only in the back?

Mhm I believe it's also longer in the Front. I just told Tony to make the jacket an inch shorter then the CS jacket (with HF sizing).
Also my Todd's Raiders Jacket has the same length. One Inch shorter would also be okay. But I prefer it longer.

The CS jacket is about the same in the front as the Raider. It's the back of the CS that is longer. I guess you'd have to compare yours together to know exactly if your Raider is longer just in the back

Really nice jacket, it's look better with this shirt. If I didn't like short length jacket, I would be considering one since this jacket style is making a come back here in France ;)

Orb,

Very nice Nowak collection you got goin' on here, are you competing with Castor and Indiana G? ;)

I need to ask you this, what's the back length on your Mutt jacket and how much was it?

Hello chagwa!

No competition! I just got the best fitting jackets from Tony. That's why I love buying his stuff!
I got the same sizing as Shia except for the back length. Which is just an inch longer (23.5) and the sleeves are also an half inch longer (25)
However the Belt of the jacket should be where you normally wear your pants belt. This also depends on the pants you wearing.
I have tried on some Mutt like pants (straight jeans) and I just got it right. Price was the same as the CS jacket! 750USD

Thanks for the heads-up Orb, Image

Did Tony say what size Sia is? I'm assuming size 40 or even 38.
If you get the chance, please post an updated picture once you get your pair of 501 55 LVC

I got to try on the prototype jacket at the Queen Mary Summit. It was the one actually used to fit Shia, and then all the film jackets were copied from this one. I wear between a 38-40 depending on the make and my current waistline. I'd size the jacket I tried on at a 38.

Tony didn't told me the size. He just said there is also a bit bigger jacket available which was for the Stuntman. But I went for the Shia Size.
My chestsize is currently about 37 Inches. I can also close the jacket without any problems. But it could be problematic when wearing a thicker sweater underneath.
However never zip up a jacket like this when not sitting on a motorcycle ;)

Meanwhile my TN Raiders Jacket in shrunken lambskin has arrived and Tony did again a perfect job.
I asked for a more smooth leather without too much grain and I really got a chamaelon like jacket.
One panel is really grainy and the other panel is nearly smooth. I love that! The leather itself is really much heavier then the Wested lambskin. The jacket nearly has the same weight as the TN CS jacket in cowhide. Here a few pics. I will post better pictures where everyone can see the leather much better.
About the sizing. I asked for 1:1 HF sizing except for a few inches added to the jacket length. It's around 25 Inch. So just an inch shorter then my other Indy Jackets (TN CS, TOD).

The Raiders is an inch shorter in the back but the Frontlength is the same as the CS.
I haven't measured it, I just compared both jackets while wearing in front of the mirror ;)

have one to "beat the @#$% out of".
Semi darker this time. Looks very different
depending on the lighting.
From light and velvety to choco dark.

question to all of you raiders owners. Whats the thickness on the shrunken lamb like? I love the thickness(or should i say lack of) on my old wested lamb, and after several years it shows much of the same grain and wear that you guys get in your new nowacks. But i'm getting #### tempted by tony's jackets from the pictures here.

They look a thicker hide, are they?

It's thicker than every Wested Lamb I ever had! And I had three different Wested Lambs in 3 years.
It nearly has the same weight as the CS Cowhide from TN!
But I have to say I got more of a chamaleon hide which I have requested. It's a mix between grain and smooth but it's more smooth overall.

cheers.

It's certainley a great looking jacket you've got, it's one of the ones that's had me tempted (that and the dark goat on another thread), but overall the weight and drape of the usual lamb's is one of my favourite features.

Hmmm. I'll need to think about this one.

That's a really good looking jacket... But out of curiousity, have you pecarded it in that picture, or is it as is? Because it has a really good clean/distressed look to it!

While I'm here, I wanted to post a picture that I had promised Baldwyn quite a while ago, but unfortunately never came around to it, as I was traveling at the time. However, here they are... Baldwyn, I don't know if you'll be reading this, but here are the comparison shots of my two 'Indy I' Nowaks!

On the left is the first-gen Nowak (circa Oct 08), and on the right is the *presumably* second-gen Nowak (circa Dec 08)

http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t167 ... MG4496.jpg
http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t167 ... MG4498.jpg
http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t167 ... MG4499.jpg

They do look pretty much the same, except while the older jacket has more prominent vertical lines, the newer jacket has more pronounced horizontal lines (similar to the scene where Indy are Marion escape from the ark room).

http://www.theraider.net/films/raiders/ ... ts/269.jpg

The main difference between the two jackets (to me, anyway) is that the older one is softer than the newer one, and it feels as if it is a very, very thin bathrobe, or even a velvet jacket. The newer one is stiffer, and feels 'crunchy' for lack of a better description- one moves like cotton, the other like paper.

Both are excellent, but for what it's worth, I prefer the feel of the first-gen leather, while the second-gen leather has a better appearance when worn (although it may not look as Raiders as the first-gen). The reason why is because the first-gen leather is so soft, that it gives very easily, giving a very Raiders-like look, but being much too scruffy-looking for me personally. As the second one holds its shape better, I think it makes a more presentable looking jacket...

You can pretty much tell that I'm a LC-jacket guy all the way! :P

Of course I'm reading this! Thanks for the pics, CD! I really like the second jacket, and the horizontal lines!!! Also look at the Raven Bar jacket! Very nice! When are you getting a TN LC! :)

Which adds to the irony, since while I still have yet to find a near-100% match to a LC jacket (which was my favorite Indy jacket coming into this hobby), I now have two Raiders jackets that are dead ringers for the screen-used jacket (considering that I never was really interested in the Raiders jacket). And I agree, that jacket is a fantastic jacket to have, considering how it seems to run around all those iconic Indy moments!

Perhaps a better question would be what I'm planning for my NEXT jacket order... :P No, but seriously, how can you possibly resist those ridiculously amazing jackets? ;)

Castor, just a question......you mentioned the second TN1 being a little stiffer....have you tried a little dryer time to soften it or do you want to keep it as is to be your 'dressier' TN1.....personally I like the softness of the original......sort of gives it that "I've been thrown out of better Gin Joints than this" look........ :- :D

Looks like Tony really is getting all the big guns one by one! All we need now is someone to get a picture of Ford flashing a new, limited edition (read: not screen-used!) KotCS jacket by the big guy!

And is it just me, or does Nowak's Indy IV jackets look very suede-like in certain shots? I'm really liking that look!
