Deborah Nadoolman Landis and the KotCS
Have you ever wondered what the fedora might have looked like in KotCS if Deborah Nadoolman Landis had been rehired to pull the costume together? What if she had gotten her hands on an AB and done her magic sending it back to Fedora for this or that alteration. Hmmm. I just got to wondering that after reading the thread on the raiders fedora being impossible to get. "But alas cheri, it was not meant to be." Do you think it may have ended up differently?

She wouldn't have to work very hard. I think she would be very happy with Steve and Marc's work. They would have wanted to put in a Raiders hat.

True, but I wonder what nuances she may have added. Maybe she would have requested rabbit!

Probably not. Due to the fact there was SO much water involved in CS, she would have had to order a tractor-trailer load of rabbit hats in order to keep up with the loss of hats from shot to shot, where beaver felt is more resistant to constant wetting.

Just because she went a certain direction decades ago doesn't necessarily mean she'd do the same for the present though. Just like how Ford went from hating wearing leather (due to the heat) to voting in favor of a heavy lamb, her opinions on what Indy should be most likely could have changed over time, and not just circumstance, instead of stagnating in those pre-Raiders days!
Chances are that at any rate, irregardless of her input, it would have been up to the Big Three as to what the hat would look like in the end, and that would most probably be what we ended up with in the KotCS movie anyway!

True. Hey she may have dumped the late 30's look all together and gone for something more 50's.Just because she went a certain direction decades ago doesn't necessarily mean she'd do the same for the present though.
