Price / availability aside, which one would you choose?

Seeing various posts got me thinking IF you could afford one and IF they were both commercially available would you choose the 'Holt' or 'TN' Raiders jacket?

Tonys is available, but relitively expensive, and I know Holts jacket will never be 'comercially' available as an option to all.

Whilst the TN is coppied from an original, Holts really looks great and he can replicate many looks from the film. I appreciate no one in a TN has tried to do the same, but it does not look like it can do it the same way, which is odd as it was coppied from an original. That asside I'm happy to be prooved wrong if someone will post pictures

Anyway what are your thoughts / why? I'll start, from what I've seen,

Holt has done some amazing work to get his jacket the way it is. Wested's price, and their quality is very good. I'm currently getting some specs together and soon sending it to Wested. If I could get some of the Holt details (that don't coincide directly with his personal body measurements and he hasn't released already) that would be great. The TN jacket is just too expensive right now for me (especially with exchange the way it is) and I want a Wested (the original). I'm in for the Holt!

to me price is the biggest issue so i have to abstain, frankly if price wasnt an issue id have 40 indy jackets

without price as a factor,

without the need to sit down and compile a laundry list of specs after watching hours of video capture,

the major factor left is quality.........and the choice is rather obvious in that sense.

For a Raiders Jacket I would definitly go for a TN Jacket.
It's probably copied from an original Screen used Raiders Jacket. It really looks like that to me
Wested is maybe the original maker. But what's worth when they haven't got the right pattern? (any more?)
I think it's really sad that the COW forum needs to tell Wested how to make the jackets right.
These words are just interesting for some very SA gearheads. So no offense here.
I like the TOD Jacket from Wested. But just because it's copied from original pattern. You can really see the difference.
So I would only buy a wested again if it's copied from original pattern.

I voted TN. Why? Because I like the look of the leather and I think it looks just great. It appears to behave just like a Raiders jacket is supposed to behave.

This dous by no means mean that I don't like Holt's jacket, on the contrary, but I like TN's just a litle better.

again I will say this. the jacket I call ''Holt'' is just something I say... that jacket is something for me and me only..throw my jacket on and it might look really of on you....

its not a standarized pattern. it is made for my body type with my details.... and if I was to maby order a new one I am sure it will look very different from the one I have now. it is handmade and it can be made by a different cutter/machinist...I guess I was lucky... but I am about to order a new jacket... with the same details so we will see how it will look.. I am actually 'testing' them to see if they can remake it..... but I have my doubts...

make a jacket with my pattern and details only one size smaller or bigger and it might (not saying it will) look really weird and NOT SA at all..... thats the risk you will have to take and thats why I havet shared any specs here...

casue when I ''made'' the jacket I took details and parts from different sizes and had them sew it on my jacket along wiht my personal body specs....

Yes I know there's no official Holt jacket, I'm just trying to have fun and am interested in others opinions. My question does rely on some asumptions. Firstly that the jacket was made and secondly that it 'worked' for others the way it works on you. From the picture posted I prefer the look of yours over Tonys, although a TN may look even better on you, who can say. As it stands, real world, there is no 'choice' to make I know that. It's just with all the possyive comments you got I wondered if people actually had a choice, the above not withstanding, which way would they go?
