Just wanted to relay a quick story. I'm fairly new to IndyGear and whip cracking in general. After browsing a few posts, I decided to buy a Stenhouse to learn "the art." I ended up in a fairly long exchange with Paul about the type of whip to buy, etc. Lo and behold, I got a fantastic 4' snakewhip that cracks like a rifle.
Of course, now I'm ordering Paul's DVD and plotting my next whip... This is quite the lively group! Thanks for inspiring me to add yet another hobby to my list!
Jeremy.

Certainly a fair request...
The large sized pic is here and the smaller one is below.
Again, it's pretty cool to deal with folks like Paul who really love their art and make you excited to try something new. Now I just need to start saving for that bullwhip with the longer than standard handle and I'll really be in business...
A quick follow-up - for those of you who have watched Paul's DVD on whip cracking/maintenance, would you say that all of the basic cracks are covered in that material?

I can say with complete confidence that you will NOT be disappointed if you get one of Paul's DVDs. I had tried other videos that show you the basic cracks, and never got very far with them. However, I was doing all of the cracks within a couple of weeks of getting Paul's DVD. You learn the basic 4 cracks and more. Plus there's a great section on whip maintenance and some minor repair work.
