Roughly 1 and a half inches in diameter.

I don't know where you could find them, I'm afraid.

Walmart has some in the craft department. Just look or ask there.

Thanks

My MK VI has them too. I've never seen a MK VII with D-rings though.

The Mark VIs had D-rings. The Mark VIIs had O-rings. That is one of the ways to tell them apart from a distance without looking inside the bag. :)

Be not so sure, some Canadian Mk VII bags have D-rings:

I think I remember seeing an Australian Mk VII with D-rings too. The company was out of them though, that's why I didn't bother any further with them at the time.

IMaybe looking for the little rings about half height on the side of the front of the bag is a way of telling them apart too. I don't know, but it might be possible that some MK VII's have those rings too and vice versa.

They are on my MK VI, but not on my MK VII, and I think I've seen a pic of a bag that looked like my MK VII, but it had the rings. Well, that might have been a VI.

I think no Mk VII come with the rings on front since they upgraded the system of fastening the bag around the waist and enclosed the kit pockets inside it instead of having and extra flap, hence the "mark seven" instead of the "mark six", a new and improved model.

Let me know though, I might be wrong. It is always a surprise with these bags, biggest one yet is probably the Canadian one with the spring instead of the disk. :D

Ive had probably over a hundred of these bags come through my hands, (I had the fever like Swindy) and In my opinion there are so many stamps and versions from different places, its hard to say when they have and havent done. Im sure there are some bag versions none of us have even seen....
