The leather isn't changing colors, it's just the lighting.

I have had the same concern with my Wings jacket. It does tend to look black in certain situations.

However, when compared to my wife's black jacket it definitely looks brown.

I have considered trying to lighten it up with some alcohol, but I love this jacket too much to risk ruining it.

You can't ruin that thing!

Seriously, I've bathed mine in alcohol a bunch of times with little change other than taking a small amount of shine off. I've also showered with it numerous times, thrown it in the dyer for hours and put it through a wash and dry cycle. That leather isn't leather, it's like some crazy space fabric.

If you do use alcohol, the first time you'll notice some color coming off on the cloth you wipe it down with but trust me it won't make it any lighter.

You really don't have to worry about that jacket and will have a tough time trying to age it.

I've had a Wings Roo hide for I believe 7 years now and it's finally starting to look broken in. I've beaten the heck out of it too. 8)

Is your US Wings dark brown goat? If it is goat, you'll have to do something pretty drastic to put a dent in the thing. The color won't fade to true brown easily.

I have a L.E. I love the leather because it distresses really easily.

I had a Roo from Wings years ago. The only problem with the leather was the dye. I think I splashed gas on mine during a fill up one night and the gas just ate through the brown color to reveal dark brown/black undertones which for whatever reason I did not like and sold it.

Mine got a little smaller when I got it wet and then put it in the drier. Just overall smaller... Not a lot, but a little bit.
