I appreciate the update Raider. It sheds a new light on things. It explains all the emails I've been getting. Guess I just haven't been given the full story.

Well Peter told me 10 days from 22/01/09. I REALLY hope it comes in soon AND is of good quality.

yeah, I've been waitin a while on this jacket. Atleast they're just not accepting any old hide that comes in, I'm happy to wait that little bit longer if it means the jacket is better for it.

Update

Well despite what Peter was told, no goat was sent by plane :x He has now been told that it WILL be arriving either 09/02/09 or 10/02/09. He will then have enough for all our jackets! :)

Peter has been very helpfull and appears to be totally stuck between what he is told, and the actual reality of what happens.

I just got off the phone with Gemma and she said that they WILL be having a healthy arrival of goat this Wednesday, February 11th.

I wouldn't want to be Peter right now. The backlog must keep him up nights, knowing the enormity of work that's heading his way, just to catch up with all the orders.

He's sitting on a lot of our money, that he's got to "earn".

I just posted a similar comment on another thread.

That's definitely on my mind as well.

Washed goat has been in for a while at Wested, so hopefully those who have ordered jackets in that hide should have them soon too.

It would be a hard position to be put in as a vendor. I got sent a washed goat by mistake (I had changed my order to regular goat) but now I think it was a lucky break.

Hopefully, the hides will come in and everyone can start enjoying their jackets.

I called a week ago and spoke to Peter about the shipment then too and he DID mention they had gotten some washed goat, but that it was all spoken for and the jackets were being made for that. He's once again needing washed goat.

I would hold onto your washed goat for now. ;-)

If it weren't for the fact that I know just how rough I am with my jackets, I'd get that too. But the regular goat is FAR more durable. The washed goat is the absolute crème de la crème though. I think.

Can you imagine the fun and games if a stretched leather became available?

Might be an idea just to abandon that idea right now.

I'd recommend that too.Very Raiders looking. They're practically bulletproof too. They also offer a wide range of sizes.I love mine.

Absolutely. It's the toughest Indiana Jones jacket on the market, bar none.

I had a very nice surprise this morning. From time to time, I've checked with G and B on clearance items and got a goat Expedition in my size for about 1/2 off! \:D/

I can't wait to try this jacket I've heard so many good things about.

Well the news is they have the soft goat back in stock! Jackets ordered are now being cut. IF I ever get another it will be LC in horse, but for now I'm as happy as I could be :)

Since the new batch of Washed Goat & Authentic Brown Goat arrived at Wested Monday (4 days ago), has anyone gotten word that their jacket has been shipped? Or at the very least, that it has been cut?

I was told it had already arrived when I called on the 5th? Washed goat, at any rate. My jacket was apparently being cut as we spoke. No word since then though. I was trying to cancel my order, so perhaps some creative wording was used to persuade me from taking my business elsewhere. 'Being cut' from the goat at the tannery, perhaps?
I don't expect to see it anytime soon, but there's always hope.
