My first “non-budget” bullwhip by Louie Foxx
Hey all I just thought I’d show you my first “non-budget” bullwhip. I have been hunting around for a while now and following the advice given on this sight and ended up at Louie Foxx’s bullwhips.org. Louie was really helpful. I told him I was looking for a 6-footer and wanted it mainly for sport-cracking. He suggested the 10 inch handle length over the Indy 8 inch handle. He had this one already listed online for sale. He had made it in December 2008. I paid for in on Thursday, January 29 and I got it Monday, February 2. I have only gotten to crack it a little bit but it cracks great. Now I just need to work on my skills.
(sorry about the image size. I tried to size them down but I don't think it worked )
I highly recommend Louie’s work, and he is a great person to do business with.
Happy cracking,
Ryan

I really like the extra bit of leverage that a 10 inch handle gives you over an 8 inch handle. Those extra 2 inches make a lot of difference.

I usually have my whip bag in the trunk of my car and crack when I get a chance. I don't really consider myself a "dork" for doing that, more of a "whip nerd".
If you don't have a whip bag yet, get one of the whip bags that Joe Strain sells http://northernwhipco.com/Accessories.htm, at $24.95 they are a steal!!

Ya, I've got an over-the-shoulder messenger bag with two main slots. I use the back compartment for carrying my whips and the front for my work stuff. This bag seems to work pretty well - good fit for two to three whips.
Thanks Louie for the heads up on the whip bags. I acutally saw them the other night on your blog. They look pretty sweet. I might get one some day.
Happy cracking all,
Whip Nerd (aka - Ryan)

Yes they are Louie! I have two of them and they work perfectly! You will not be sorry you bought one. I only put two whips in each, but they say they will take up to six.
Crack On!
