Getting water mark out of satin liner

Post by crismans »

I accidentally got a little water on the white satin liner of one of my hats. Now I've got a water spot on the liner. Any attempt I've made to get rid of it, only makes the spot grow.

Not that big a deal, but I'd like to keep this hat as new looking for as long as possible. Anyone know how to get rid of the water spot?

No help for this? It's a minor problem, I know, but it's kicked in my OCD. ;-)

Actually, it would be easier to just get a replacement liner and install it than jump through the hoops trying to get something like that out of your old liner. That's what they were made for...to protect the felt from moisture and dirt, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I have one too from the snow, and I just thought well now it's broken in. so I just ignore it now. Hope that helps.

Take out the liner, dip it in water and voila! The whole liner will be stained and you can't even tell

I actually thought about that.

Like I said, it's just my OCD. I'll let it go a couple of days and it won't bug me anymore.

I've one too from the soaking-through last summer, I think it adds some character.
