Hi...
I am new here and this is my first post.
Great forum... been to many but nothing like this... i am a true Indiana Jones fan and love everything to do about it.
Ok... well i have a couple of questions.
Looking at getting the "new in" washed goat of ROLA (the version with no leather lining inside). I am a 42R on all my suites, but i read in places that as its an "80's" cut i should go a size up (i.e.: 44R). Is that true... if so i better tell Gemma quick.
Also... I hear very good reviews of the Novapelle jackets... whats the diference between the novapelle and the washed goat?
One last question... whats the main differences between the Raiders jackets and the Crystal Skull jacket in terms of cut.
Cheers!!!

Welcome Jonsey!
If you’re referring to the ROLA Special Offer, I had one in size 42 for a short time. I’m a 42R and it was fine with a T-shirt, but with a long sleeve shirt and a T-shirt it was a bit snug in the upper arms and chest. With a sweater it was far too tight. For layering I would definitely go one size up, though the fit may depend on your build - thin vs. athletic.
The novapelle is predistressed cow; the washed goat is predistressed goat (!) and is softer and lighter and drapes more like lamb, though goat is renowned for its strength to weight.
As for the differences between the Raiders cut and KOTCS, check out the first sticky thread in the jacket section (Tony Nowak Raiders HERO Pattern Replica #000/888 (tutorial)), there is a nice comparison.
