By "remastered" I mean "another set getting made."

I've been considering getting a BAPTY 1917 made, but the initial
investment cost is pretty steep to get one pretty accurate. And I'm
kind of anal retentive with details at times.

Ha ha ha ha! Saturated market G? In that case, you'll have no problem selling me yours for what you paid for it, and just go out and grab yourself another one, since the market is saturated, you should be able to find one cheaper, right?

Well, just recieved my replica and it blows all others away!! Super cool and super accurate plus it has more weight and heft than just a regular resin gun. ROOK, if you do decide to do a bapty, I am definitely 100% in!!! The $130 for this gun was definitely worth it!!!!

Maboot, I understand your plight and it was really blind luck that someone dropped out and gracefulness (on rooks part) who allowed me to slide into that spot. A while ago I posted in the Marrakesh section that I would pay $200 for one of these babies because I knew I needed to have one. Now that I actually got it, I wouldn't sell this for a kidney!!

Yep, #00 was the one with the broken hammer. It had a few other small differences as well, mainly regarding the types of bolts/screws used to assemble it.

Don't think that the slow pace is because of a lack of interest, it's because I'm a one man show doing these.

I'm glad you guys like them.

I'd seriously consider doing the BAPTY after the Webley's are done, it just boils down to buying the correct model gun. If I were to do one I'd hold out for one in .455 and not just buy a regular .45 just to get that extra level of accuacy.

But I'm kind of picky when it comes to this stuff... much to my detriment.

I may have an 'oops' webley coming soon. I have one grip frame that had a bad hinge side (Don't ask me how that happened... I still don't know...). I may just try and fix it... have to see what kind of mood I'm in when I get to that point.

I may be buying an electric ladle to assist in pouring the metal parts. Price Isn't too bad really, just have to check the funds available.

I'm wondering what the deal is on the stand. What type is it and what is the cost. I love the idea of the plaque with some sort of C.O.W. numbering job.

Um, if you go back to page 6, and look about 5 posts up from the bottom you will see exactly what the stands are, where to buy them, and contact info for the guy that makes the plaques.

Regarding display plaques...

The display plaques can be purchased from a member of the RPF, Kevin Hinson.

...and tell him you would like one of the Indy Webley plaques designed by Russ "Rook" Krook.

After that you may want one of the plaque stands. They can be purchased from Rebelscum.net:

No. 14 arrived on Friday to great satisfaction!

These are a real work of art; I love how the casting process picked up the minute details, like the "P.WEBLEY & SON..." marking. It's great to be able to hold this facsimile in hand, and get a REAL feel for the dimensions of the revolver that Indy/Harrison carried through two flims -- and lots of adventure.

Rook has done a superb job delivering these pieces on target. A big "THANKS" goes out to him for the time and craftsmanship that went into making the 'WG' replica a reality. It's an absolute beauty! (I'll try to post some pics on Monday.)

( Wetted Todd's holster; hmmm, sounds like a very good idea!!! )

The one made for my wife sits on a shelf, but doesn't have a proper display stand of it's own.

Just a brief update. Was able to get in the dungeon, er, slave mines, um, I mean basement on Satrday and got the last 10 raw barrels trimmed, drilled and ready for painting. I still need to do some cleanup on 5 or 6 grip sections and they'll be ready for tape and painting.

Then I need to pour the metal to make 12 hinge pins plus the side pieces and another 5 or 6 sets of grip panels. I made a judgement error when I did the last 10 barrel/grip sections and didn't do identical pours of grips at the same time. doh!

It sure felt good though to have all those barrel sections on the assembly line going under the drill press one at a time.

LOL! My wife and I want kids, I'd take you up on that... but I think YOUR wife might have a thing or two to say about it.

Plus, selling children might be against board policy.

And... UPDATE!!

Got all the metal parts cast on Sunday and the Mrs was gone last night so I got all the grip frames drilled
and cleaned up. Sure is a good feeling! Now all I have to do is...

-Mask off all the hammers and triggers (vat a pain!).
-Drill all the lanyard loops, release levers and hinge pins.
-Paint
-Weather
-Final Assembly and Numbering.

So, not long now really!

I do have a couple new pics. I just need to reinstall my FTP software first though.
When I transferred all the software from my old laptop to the new one,
that was one piece that didn't survive the transfer in a working state.

Some raw cast metal parts, pretty much as they came out of the mould with only
some sprues trimmed off.

I thought I had a new line up pic after I did all the drilling and fitting, but I guess not.

Man, if you wanted to just offer a kit, I'd be up for it. My years of dentistry have made me pretty handy with a Dremel tool, and I'd have no problem getting it together. And as for a Bapty...I would gladly pay for one up front and be on your list for "seed" money.

I appreciate the offer of seed money, but I don't do that. I've seen too many
good idea projects fall by the wayside on the RPF when funds are taken before
a project is started. Many projects go through, but other high profile projects
have died on the vine for reasons such as this.

I was gone with the wife all weekend. I hope to get back to it this week...
if mother nature would stop trying to kill us up here.

We went from 45+ degrees on Wednesday to -35 with wind chill last night
and 18 inches of snow. *shudder* And now they're saying we're supposed to be up to

Just a quick update.

Got 11 grips masked off for painting and in turn painted 4 of them.
I plan on painting some more tonight.

Discovered that I need to do some more cleanup on the cylinders. Somehow missed a
little resin blob on the bottom of the cylinder. Shouldn't take too long to clean them out.
And then on to the painting!
