Not bad at all. You're looking good.

Just to be SUPER picky.......

Indy's pants were designed to be LIKE pinks, but if you just got officer pinks, they probably don't have pleats, or pointed pocket flaps in the rear. That would be one area to improve.

Also, specifically what Akubra hat is that?

Nice work.

Yeah they don't have the pleats, but they do have pointed pocket flaps. I'll upgrade eventually..

The hat is the "Adventurer" I got it from DM when i ordered my whip. I've noticed people on this board being pretty iffy on Akubra in general but i'm quite pleased with it.

You said earlier that your hat was an Akubra, but the "Adventurer" is made by Christy's. Does it say Akubra under the crown?

The Akubra offering that is most Indy is the Federation IV, and that isn't even available directly from Akubra, but only through hatsdirect.com.

So still not sure, is it a Christy's or an Akubra? It's tough to tell from the angle in that shot too.

All in all, you are in good shape. Welcome!!!!!!!

Oh, and I don't think too many people are "iffy" on Akubra. It is true that Adventurebilt seems to be the item in demand right now, but there are MANY MANY MANY of us wearing Akubra Federation IVs or the Federation Deluxes and are VERY happy with them.

Isn't the 'Adventurer' the Akubra that is/was available through David Morgan? :-k

HA! Beat me to it by a minute, Ripper!

Either way, your gear looks pretty darn good, my friend!

Oh wow, I totally forgot about THAT Adventurer. I haven't seen the DM one before. If that is it, very nice. I'd love to see more photos.

thanks guys.

Yeah it says Akubra under the crown. I've read about the Federation and considered getting one but decided to get the Adventurer out of convenience.

Welcome.

Get used to some of the members nit picking what you have, or photos that you post. It isn't done with any malice, it's just that some people can't help giving "constructive criticism."

Yeah I've given it a beating, but it's still going strong.
Artificial Distressing just seems lame to me. I doubt Indy rubbed fullers earth on all his stuff.

By all means nit pick away. I'll try to not get offended.

I'm confused- you said you had no idea where your whip is from, yet you ordered one from DM. I'm assuming you ordered a DM AFTER the whip in the picture? Also, one LITTLE thing I would change about the pants is the hem is a little too high. Other than that, your gear looks pretty good.

Yeah, he had teams of people to do it for him! ;-)

Looking good, Derelict! Good setup you've got there! I'd be interested to see closer photos of the whip... :whip:

I ordered the hat and the whip at the same time. However the whip won't be here for another month. I got the whip in the picture a while back and I have no clue who made it. I'll get some pictures of it when i get a chance.
