Trying to contact Tony Nowak.....

Post by Kevin Anderson »

Hi all.
I've decided I want a Tony Nowak jacket; an Indy 1 (so as to avoid large armholes) in matte lamb, or maybe shrunken lamb.
I have saved a bit of cash and sold a few things on ebay, so the time is right.
However, once again, like back in August, I simply cannot reach the man!
I've left several emails and voice messages to no effect.
Is he on vactation, pehaps?
It's interesting how desire for a product decreases as the days roll by..
Everyone else with wonderful TN jackets seems to have no trouble contacting him.. what am I doing wrong?

I am having the same problem. I wanted to contact Tony about the spot issue on my jacket. I have called him three times over the last two weeks with no response (same on the email front) so I think hes on vacation..

and Tony's usually been very responsive (he usually responds within a day or so) so he must be away

I thought as much. :(
Still, the same silence greeted me back in August of 2008, while all around me other COW members were ordering and receiving jackets.
A COW admin was even kind enough to contact Tony on my behalf to let him know an Aussie was trying to reach him to place an order, and still I heard nothing.
I know I'm only one person, but I'm also a customer with money to spend,
who will likely go elsewhere, again.

Well I wrote to him yesterday and got an answer today.
And I always get a phone call back when I can reach him right away.

So I don't know why you can't get hold of him. Sorry.

Try to call him now, I think at this time he is still at his office.

Perhaps try to get to him through Asiana Jones. That may be a good way.

I'm sorry to here about your communication difficulties. He must be busy on a movie perhaps.

Tony = Very Busy

I've had no problems talking with him recently but understand he has a bunch of stuff going on. Best thing to do would be to try calling in the evening (CA time) as that's when he usually seems to call back.

Ok, I'll try and call later on; I've called several times today from what was 9:00am LA time onwards. Left a few voice messages. I got cut off on one, which was strange...
I will try about 4.00pm LA time, perhaps. After that, it's just not worth the trouble.
As much as Wested are derided here for their less than stellar email service, at least someone always answers the phone...

Considering Tony is a one-man-show, that's understandable. ;-)

I have talked with him last thursday just one day after ordering a shrunken lamb raiders jacket. He was very kind again and helpful again. He will ship both jackets (Mutt) together. So I don't need to pay another 90usd for shipping to Austria.

Don't worry about trying to call him after 4pm LA time. He seems to be at work quite late. Many people will tell how late he can call or be contacted.

I caught him late last week in the afternoon. Most fun I've had on the phone where the number didn't start with 976. #-o Did I say that out loud?

Well now, don't I feel silly....
I just got off the phone to Tony Nowak.
Could this man be any cooler? :)
He knew exactly who I was as soon as I said my name, even asked why I'd been telling people here that I couldn't contact him!
Very sorry Tony, I should have more patience, I know you must be very busy! A 'regular guy' you may be (his words!), but for a famous guy who deals with the stars, you make a regular joe off the street feel pretty special too.
I don't know how anyone could speak to him and not want to buy one of his jackets.
Now I need to decide exactly which one I want. Mind you, it's 40 degrees celcius here today, what's that, about 105 farenheit? Heck of a time to be buying leather jackets..!

 I guess it begs 'What wall, where?'

If you randomly add an LA area Area Code you could end up with?

Interesting, I got him "lickety split" when I inquired about pricing on alternate leathers.
