Marc?

Post by Vaderbreath »

Maybe I've missed something, but does anyone know where Marc is? I've sent a few emails and pm's over the last several weeks but haven't heard a thing. Just wondering...

He's in Germany. Europe usually shuts down for a long time around the Holidays.

This reminds me of the old game Zak McKracken...when you go to Miami and discover that "the city is closed for restoration"

May be doing business with this Indy gear deal. Or may be on another game show. (he is quite the celeb over there) He also had to make 3 dozen hats for some production related to Indy. These days, with his full time day job and his night and weekends being full with making hats, I imagine he is hard to catch. We generally talk about once a month, but in the last year, we have spoken only a couple of times. So, he is a busy, busy guy. Email him a few times, as he doesn't always get my emails. Fedora

Yeah, he's hard to catch lately - must be really busy. But I'm sure, he will answer your mails in time. He's not the guy letting you hang. ;)

Vaderbreath, Marc is extremely busy, but I am sure he will get around to your e-mail. I once e-mailed him and it took about a week or so to get back to me, other times it was much quicker. So it just depends on what is going on in his life. Plus he is working pretty hard on making hats and as well working on a AB gunbelt stuff. Just there is a lot that can go on. Hang in there and have some patience.

Oh, I'm not getting impatient. He's always been very quick in responding to my emails, but over the last month, I haven't heard anything. I'll give it another shot.

I'm also curious to know what 'Indy' thing he's working on...

"Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull: The Musical"

The three dozen the hats are for the chorus line in the big finale. It's the next logical progression.

 That is quite an interesting concept. I do remember him though sending me an e-mail back about 2 months ago saying he had to make more hats because of an event in Germany with Paramount, I think it had something to do with the release of Indy on DVD there or something to do with KOTCS release, was like a premiere or something like that. It would be quite intesting a bunch of Indy's in a chorus line. Thought I never thought of Indiana Jones being a musical.

Sometime around 1966, some idiot had the bright idea of turning Superman into a Broadway musical. It was called "It's a Bird! It's a plane!." It was a commercial failure, closing after about 4 months.

Those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it. Let us not make that mistake.

I've got lots of theories. Most would get me locked up in the loony bin. So, instead I let them out here. Not that there is much difference between the two most days.

Wasn't there a tv movie based upon that shown in the 70s? It seems I remember the current Ma Kent on Smallville playing Lois Lane.

Annette O'Toole, who plays Martha Kent in the Smallville television series, previously portrayed Lana Lang, Clark Kent's childhood crush, in the movie Superman III, which was released in 1983 and also featured Richard Pryor.

So I guess that the cat's outta the bag: I'm also a big fan of Superman . . . Even got a tatoo of Superman's S-shield on my arm. My wife thought it was sexy, though she ridicules me for being a member of COW. Ah, women.

When your wife starts pulling quotes from the films out, then you know you've struck gold. I gave my fiance the old "Man, I am tired" the other day and she responded with "Its not the years, honey, its the milage."

Hmmm. I'm still waiting to hear anything. Maybe I've got the wrong email address or something because as I checked over our correspondence, he's actually never responded to any emails of mine, just pm's. I've tried pm'ing him here but I think he's been so busy he hasn't been around here in quite a while. I'm not worried, though... :)

Hmmm....still haven't heard anything. Normally I wouldn't worry about this too much, but given that lately a deal on here went very bad, I'm a little apprehensive. I know that Marc will come through...I just wish I would hear something from him. (Just so you know, I've emailed him a couple times since early December without any responses which is really unlike him. That's why I wonder if my emails are even getting through).

Maybe you're E-Mail was caught in the SPAM folder. Try to write him again (making sure to mention "Adventurebilt" in the subject line) or even better call him.

At this time I am talking to Marc on the phone. His computer is out of order and will remain so for about 2 or 3 weeks so he requests that you call him on the phone. If at all possible. Send me a PM if you really need to contact him and I will give you his number.

Please remember the time difference as not to wake him.

Cheers,

Erri,

No, he did say weeks. He has to send it in for repairs.

He can check some of his email from work, If and when time allows.

Just talked to Marc by phone.

First, he's a great guy with whom to talk. Very pleasant and friendly.

Second, even though computer is down, he will be occasionally checking his email remotely.
