A visit to Hornets/Christys' Hats

Post by Kt Templar »

A friend of mine was good enough to send me a few pics of his visit to the Christys' shop in Church Street, Kensington, London.

The shop was quite busy so he didn't have too much time to frame his hat photos, so please allow for that, but very nice to see.

Thats awesome to see, the whole store looks like it came out of an old black and white movie. It works for them, sometimes I wish stores today had that welcome feeling. :)

I wonder if they store their unbashed hats like the fedoras on the display shelves. Might that partially account for the hit-or-miss quality of the hats (i.e. taper)?

Still, a very cool atmosphere in the store.

The hats that you order from the hornetshats website are made on order. They don't send them from the shop itself as far as I know.

I haven't seen a shop like that in London in a long time! Thanks for the pictures KT, this is definitely a stopping point next time I'm in London... and not exclusively for the hat!
