No Confirmation

Post by Dr. Jones Jr. »

I ordered my wested about 2 weeks ago, and i havent received confirmation of it yet other than the "order has been received" email, no tracking number or anything. I was just wondering, is this the norm? or am i just a worry-wart?

No idea DJJ, but I ordered mine about the same time you did and received a confirmation email from Peter about 2 days after I placed the order. He probably just got busy, but it wouldn't hurt to email him to be sure.

I never received confirmation (other than "order has been received") or a tracking number for my Wested, but it arrived just fine.

Cheers,

There's no tracking no., but you may get a courtesy email from Peter when your order is being processed (i.e. sent to manufacturing). But I'm sure you can always email Peter about it.

Do you mean a tracking number for shipping ?

I ordered mine 3 weeks ago and received a confirmation email the same day giving a Wested order number to quote when email them.

Not sure if what you are talking about is different. I haven't received anything else.

Dr JOnes,
I think its hit or miss, I beleive they try to send a confirmation email to everyone, but Ive had it happen both ways. Also keep in mind its the buys season now!!

SAB,

Yep, I meant I didn't get a tracking no. for the package either. It came via USPS I think and the only email I got from Peter is this one:

Your order no 2807 has been processed for production
Cheers
Peter

But don't worry, it WILL get to you. I know the wait is intolerable, but we all went thru it. :D

If you are in any way concerned, my advice is to telephone Wested directly and they will answer any questions immediately, and maybe save a lot of needless worry?

I have done this with both my Wested orders, and the chaps have been only too happy to help.

Indy Den,
Yours came USPS? Wested started using Airborne Express exclusively about a year ago....

James,

Not either of my Westeds, but Airborne has delivered to the post office here before. The post office then delivered it or stuck a notice in with the rest of mail and I picked it up. Not sure which or even what it was. Shop-related, I think. In any case, based on my experience, Den could have gotten through the post.

Oops! Indiana James, you're right!! It was Airborne Express. I get confused because the Airborne Express courier in my area sometimes gives their packages to USPS to deliver to my place. Don't ask me why. But you're right, it was in an Airborne Express box.

Cabinetman, almost missed your post there. Yep, I get all of my Airborne packages delivered to me via USPS. :)
