How long will leather jacket season last?
at least, in california?
Cuz I'm still waiting on my replacement jacket and I want to wear it for a long time before it gets too hot. Oh it's goatskin if that matters. And I also want to get a Todd's jacket but it may be too hot for it by the time I do.

Hey, if HF can wear his heavy CS cowhide in the humid, stifling heat in Peru (actually Hawaii), you can certainly wear yours anywhere.
BTW, I've worn my Todds in Sand Diego last month and it was quite comfortable in 80+ degree weather. (Great thing about Todd's is that it's paper-thin so it's like wearing a leather T-shirt).

I'm in Los Angeles and wear my Westeds about 6-7 months out of the year. I only put them back on the hanger when it gets REAL warm here, typically April or May-September. IMO, the heat helps to soften the leather and mold the jacket to your body - at least that's what I tell myself. My lamb and goat jackets never seem too thick to wear, even in those warmer temps.blueoakleyz wrote:at least, in california?

Kind regards,
Craig
Leather jacket season for the true adventurer is all year round. In the summertime? You unzip it and go, even if you're dealing with a tropical rainforest type climate.
In the wintertime? Unless you're going to be somewhere colder than Nepal, you zip that puppy up and go (you may add leather gloves to your ensemble).
Anything else is wimping out. ;-)

What about wearing a brown cardigan underneath? ;-) -Mcrismans wrote:Leather jacket season for the adventurer is all year round. In the summertime? You unzip it and go, even if you're dealing with a tropical rainforest type climate.
