Cool......however, I agree with an earlier post in that this jacket, unlike the Indy jacket, is not something that everyone can pull-off. To me, it's strictly a motorcycle jacket for someone under 30.....and unlike the Indy jacket, it's not something you can wear to the office and look "respectable."

it's a cool jacket wear in good health. I have to agree with psbindy, for us guys over 30 we would look like it's the start of the mid life crisis. next would be the red vette ,younger girl hey maybe it wouldn't be so bad. ha ha
To answer the earlier question. Yes, Tony did the Mutt jackets (actually first) for the movie. With those already having pleased Bernie, he came back to Tony to give it a go at the Indy jacket when he couldn't find one he was happy with. Tony turned the Indy around overnight.
…but you'll have to wait for the KotCS jacket write up for any more details.
sukebe - the fit on that jacket is fantastic - the best fitting jacket out of any jackets at all i've seen on club obiwan. If only indy jackets fit like that.
I hate to make this a zombie thread, but I've got a question about this jacket. Is if made of heavy motorcycle-grade leather? As in, if I want to use this as an actual motorcycle jacket, will it take a beating if I go down?
Strange, it doesn't look as shiny as the jacket in the movie?
Or is that just the photography?
I got the same jacket. And 'No" it is not shiny at all. I don't know what they did on the film set to make them shiny. TN's jacket is thick and leathery. good quality except shiny. I'd figure did they spray some armor all on the jacket or what? because I'd try pecard and it doesn't shine at all either.

I got to see and try on the jacket Tony made for Shia, which was the final approval jacket and used as the template for the film jackets. (Tony also donated it to the raffle at the QM Summit!) It was VERY well made and I would say it's built to be a motorcycle jacket through and through. This was no costume jacket but a solid, heavy biker jacket.
The sleeves were a bit short on me, bit it actually fit me fairly well, otherwise. This one was a "new" jacket, so it had no predistressing or anything to the leather. They would have done that on the film jackets, though.
Shoot... I'm trying to remember on the one I tried on. There may have been an inside pocket, but I honestly don't remember. It'd be easy to add one, I'd think. As for the sleeves, I don't know enough about motorcycle jackets to answer that one.

So can someone talk to Tony or find out who put the pins on so we can finally identify the New Jersey pin and the CUHS pins? This mystery is killing me.
Very nice jacket. Its a classic design...however I agree I could not pull off wearing one. I would end up feeling and probably looking like one of the Wild Hogs.

Tony probably didn't have a single thing to do with the pins, just making the jacket. That's more a question for the costumer than it is Tony, I think.
I’ll agree that you need to be slim to pull one of these off. However, I don’t agree with the age part of the analogy. That is a classic design, period. One would look no more out of place while wearing that than while wearing an Indiana Jones hat (you’d look less out of place with the jacket, actually). And at this point, that design has become an American classic, like Levi’s jeans or the A-2 jacket. You don't need to be a biker to wear one. Now if it isn’t you, then it isn’t you.
PS- The pins are a bit much (from a non Indiana Jones perspective).

I'll accept the compliment. ;-) I think it also makes a difference that the Mutt jacket is a much more fitted jacket than an Indy jacket generally is. Buy the the motorcycle and I'll get the jacket.

Hmmm - Peter sells a VERY similar jacket for 45 pounds. And there are plenty of vintage jackets readily available too. I don't think I'd fork out so much for what is basically a pretty common design jacket.
