wested parcelforce delivery status

Post by indy1936 »

Does anyone know the accuracy of the tracking information provided by USPS/ParcelForce for an incoming wested? Tracking info from both sites hasn't been updated since Monday. Thanks for the help.

Detailed Results:

- Foreign International Dispatch, December 15, 2008, 11:57 pm, COVENTRY PARCELFORCE, GREAT BRITAIN
- Foreign Arrival at Outward Office, December 15, 2008, 11:29 pm, COVENTRY PARCELFORCE, GREAT BRITAIN
- Origin Post is Preparing Shipment
- Foreign Acceptance, December 15, 2008, 12:58 pm, GREAT BRITAIN

I'm in the same boat. My jacket was shipped out on Tuesday and my tracking information on both sites haven't been updated since that day either. Much help would be highly appreciated.

I can't comment as I ordered my custom Raiders from Wested Nov. 27th. With luck, it'll be here this week or next. It's goat.

Seems like that happens all the time. I believe they only update status once in a great while. Watch, when you get your jacket, all the information about how it traveled will show up on the site all of a sudden. Happens to me whenever I order stuff. If I remember correctly, delivery sites like USPS only updates a few times to save costs otherwise, it doesn't show where it is every time.

For me the tracking was very accurate. Once it hits the US only use USPS for tracking. A long delay in movement will likely be when it's in Customs

I wish I could find out when mine will be ready for shipment- Any idea how long a Wested usually takes to make?

Mine took exactly 1 month to make and ship out. I'm sure it differs, though. Depending on how busy they are and so forth.

Mine was close to a month including weekends.

I will be out of town for a week so I stopped my USPS mail. I guess they will hold the jacket till I get back. I don't remember having to sign for it in the past.

I had to sign for mine, but USPS will hold it even if it has to be signed for.
When the package is in the USPS it becomes an Express Mail item, and once cleared Customs should take a day or less to get to you.

Well, if mine doesn't show up tomorrow, hopefully it will on Monday. There's a arctic front heading towards South Texas and I need a Raiders jacket!

Mine was delivered on a Sunday! Never figured out how that one happened. An unmarked car, a huy in a blue shirt, and no identifying marks on the package. :-k

I got mine so fast, I didn't even get to check the tracking, so I'm no help there.

All of the shipping systems (postal, UPS, Fedex., etc) are jammed with stuff at this time of the year. They do hire extra Christmas help to help out.

Hang in there guys! 8)

A quote taken form the USPS website regarding express mail:
Delivery to most destinations 365 days a year – even Sundays and holidays.
I guess they do deliver on Sundays.

The weird part is, there was nothing on the package to indicate that it was express or or anything. It looked liked plain old air post to me. Not complaining, though!

USPS's tracking is hit and miss. On some shipments they'll update the information daily but, in my experience, this is rare; for most of the shipments I've received the tracking info was never updated beyond the "We've been notified by the shipper..." message.

Foreign International Dispatch means jacket is left UK and on its way to US. In Russia it takes up to 7 days for package to arrive from one country to another.
On the sidenote - what method of shipping Wested use? I mean is it a courrier ala UPS and FEDEX or is it simple airmail?
On the second sidenote my wested jacket will be shipped in 3 weeks. :[

That depends on the class of shipping. The Parcel Force packages are handled as 'Express Mail' within the USPS and they are updated every day, sometimes more often as they go through Postal facilities.

Wested uses 'Parcel Force', which I gather isn't actually a part of Royal Mail. Parcel Force obviously have agreements worldwide though for their packages to handled by each country's Postal service.
These Parcel Force packages when they come to the US are handled by the US Postal System as "Express Mail" which is a very high level of mail service, and fast.

No updates usually means it's in transit. Has it been reported as landing in the US yet?

Using the Parcelforce tracking, mine's finally been updated. Has now arrived in the country, and is awaiting clearance from customs. I had no updates since the 16th, so I'm glad it's finally moving now. It may still arrive by Christmas! I didn't expect any updates on the weekend though, to be honest. It's a lazy Sunday afternoon here!

I suspect mine is tangled up in customs as well. I sent it out for repair Nov. 11.
