Humm I think I have been bitten by the jacket bug thinking of getting a ToD now

I'm at 3 jackets now the 2 above and I have a US wing's blue lable

How much is to much

i would bink, but that jackets got too much collar for you. it may kill you......i've been training for over a week to handle this collar and i still don't know if i can take it. i'm frightened. i believe the collar is comprised of 10 times more leather than the jacket itself.....it will be like a big leather cape when i get it.......i hope tony got my specs right.....22.5 foot collar stand with 3 3/8 foot wide lapel............that's alot of collar!!!!!

It's money well spent, SpeedRcrX! I know that it's hard for some people to fathom this but once you see the jacket in person... The pictures don't do this jacket any justice on any level.

I saw pretty much all the same pics as everyone else and all I can say is that when I received my TN Indy I I wasn't as ready as I thought I was. To see it right there in front of me I was literally breathless for second there. Something I've been searching for for over twenty-seven years...I finally found. Tony has said "If I make you the Indy I jacket it will take over, it has no mercy!" I didn't understand that fully until I actually got mine and put it on.

To me Tony Nowak is the Steve Delk/Marc Kitter equivalent in the Indy jacket world. Just as on the fedora side of the gear where if you want the best then you get an AB/AB Deluxe, well on the jacket side if you want the best you go to Tony Nowak. And if you disagree that any of the above are the best choice for you or are financially out of reach then you're in luck. There are a number of sources from which you can obtain an excellent option to suit your tastes.

Oh, BTW, SpeedRcrX, I really like the quote on your jacket. It's refreshing to see a non-Indy quote. "For the sake of what's important to them, people may even become demons". I don't know, for some reason I really connect with that one. Is that something you created or is that from another source. I would love to know who I'm "stealing" from but I will certainly give credit! ;-)

Congratulations on the jacket, Speed!

I always like this quote because most fo the time it's quite true.

I have to tell that before being an Indy fan I'm first of all a Manga/Anime fan and I'm interested in everything related to Japan.
The quote come from Fujino Shizuru, a character from a japanese anime called Mai-HiME.

That brings up a question, Speed. Sizing measurements aside, did you have Tony deviate from the original or is yours "as is"?

Oh, and by the way, I check out the first episode of Mai-HiME. I quite enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing. The full series DVD boxset is now on my wish list. :)

I just ask Tony a copy of "the jacket that matter" nothing else.

I'm glad you enjoy Mai HiME, but you'll see the second part of the serie is even better

that looks terrific......even the storm flap side zipper has the wave....or what tony like's to call "the swing"...... .......i'm pretty sure he made that up just to see if it gets on cow and becomes a funny catch phrase.

the sleeves look a tad short on you though.....then again, i think mine are a tad too long  .....i believe ford's sleeves are pretty short in the raven bar scene as you can see them ride up far when he's describing the head piece to marion. regardless, the jacket looks great and it seems that you got a great selection of shrunken lamb. enjoy in good health :)

I don't like long sleeves, for me it's the perfect length ;-)

I'm wearing it every chances I get.

Tony call me a few hour ago to thank me and to tell me to not baby the jacket and if anything happen he will back me up. He also told me a little about the leather. And to have the perfect Raiders look, he gave me the tips to wear the jacket zip up while driving.

That's funny, Speed! When I got my jacket from Tony, the first thing he did was zip me up in it and tell me to drive around in it like that for a week! Wearing it zipped seems to help the break-in period and helps it to form to your body.
I don't like long sleeves, for me it's the perfect length. ;-)
And thats what matters! ;-)

Tony Nowak rules.
My second CS from Tony in the photo link here,
and we had him create our company jackets as well.
My first CS jacket had a tiny bit of thread
coming undone at the end of the sleeve due to my abuse
while we were in Japan,
so I brought it down to a tailor known
for top class jacket repair there, and he said this
was by far the best made jacket he'd seen in all his years.
(He's was old.)
Tony's genius goes far beyond Indiana Jones.
Top man.

My wife was taking some pictures of the snow after our little snowstorm today. Most of the pictures are of our golden retriever but she happened to catch one of me with my TN Indy I. I usually avoid the camera when I can so this is the only picture I currently have with me wearing the Indy I jacket at the moment. I never felt the need to post pics of just the jacket since I think everyone now knows what they look like but if for some reason you guys want more let me know and I'll try to oblige...

Image

BTW - There were no special requests other than sizing. It was simply a request for "TJTM" - The Jacket That Matters!

The jacket is the original shrunken lamb. It was a mid-afternoon when she took the pic earlier today so the camera probably overexposed a tad to compensate so it looks just a shade lighter in the pic than it really is.

Great looking jacket, the owner wear it well!! ;-)

If we see the hide in a lighter shade it's due to all that snow around.

I love my TN, and am probably just being silly, but in all the pictures and publicity stills - the hero jacket is definitely a darker shade of brown than mine:

Image

I'm thinking of ordering another one, and making the request for the darker leather... but I wanted to hear what some of you guys thought.

Here is a good example of the colour of mine:

Image

I've seen many other TNCS jackets in this shade... Does anyone have any suggestions on what avenue I should take to make it darker? I heard rumours that they applied something to some of the jackets on set (other than water)... Pecards fades so I don't know if I want to bother doing that... Should I just get Tony to make me a darker one?

Yep, know what you mean, I wish mine was darker, or at least less pre-distressed (not less TN's pre-distressing, but a less pre-distressed hide). You have a fantastic looking TN too! _ has said they've only applied Fuller's earth to the jacket. Anyways, there are some pictures that look to match our jackets but it's not the norm. In some lights, my jacket looks the right colour too, and it's darkening over time. But when I first got it, there was no way it was darker than Indy's gun belt, as it appears in the movie!

If you watch the featurette that talks about the jackets you will see the rack of them all. every one is a different shade and hue.

My TNCS also seems to be getting darker over time, and the 'darkness' varies under different light. That might be what you are seeing in the publicity stills. I also notice the jacket on that magazine cover has a sheen to it.

kryptonian, your jacket looks about as dark as my indy 1 in CS hide, and i was assured by tony that this was the darkest in his stock.

i think the dark jackets in the production are from something else......i wish we could find what that something else is.......

It's most likely due to the lighting (and camera optics to some degree). Even in Raiders, the jacket looks almost black at times.

I also wanted to mention that I told Tony I wanted the darkest possible leather like from the publicity photos he sent me and what's online. My jacket does look like what's in the movie but I think they did something to the jacket in the publicity photos also. It almost has a wet shiny look to it. I like that look, but am pleased with mine looking like the movie color. I plan on wearing this daily and my last leather jacket naturally darkened over time.

Your jacket looks wicked Lantzn... bravo.

My jacket is darkening a little, and its getting shinny on the parts where leather rubs leather... but overall, I want the dark CS look that is seen in Indiana G's Raiders jacket seen below (Indiana G - yours is definitely darker dude):
