Bad dream...

Post by indy89 »

Ok, so my custom Wested Raiders should be arriving in the next couple of days (it was shipped out on Dec. 16th, my b-day) and I had a horrible dream last night about my jacket. I dreamt that everything on the jacket was wrong! The body lining was satin and the sleeves were cotton (what the heck!), the zipper was brass and look liked teeth from a rancor monster and it had D-rings unstead of sliders! It did fit well, though. Has anybody ever had dreams like this before? Or should I see a doctor...

Nah you are perfectly fine. I've had weird dreams about gear like that too. Unless maybe there is something wrong with the BOTH of us... :-k

You need to start some other hobbies. You're getting in too deep over here.... :-k

And the answer is 'no'.

Yeah, I'm with Michaelson on this one. You've got issues. :)

The only issue I have is my D-rings!

I think I do have issues :| Oh well, maybe I'll get over it when my jacket arrives. This has only been my first weird gear dream, anyway, so I'm not that crazy.

That hasn't happened yet but there's always a first for everything. Sounds like you got into a bit of underdone potato (as Scrooge put it to Marley-a little bit of Christmas lingo there) before turning in for the night. :-k

I had a dream like that the other night - yeah! I dreamt that my new Bernardo whip came and it was un-shellacked (sp?) and limp as a rope, and looked like it had been to #### and back! Those dreams are the worst! They make you want to email the vendor and bother them.

I wanted to, but really, I don't think Wested has a zipper that looks like monster teeth. It was only a dream after all.

Gee... I dream pretty much every night, but I've never had a prop dream. Maybe I don't take this stuff seriously enough. :-k :-k

T'was the night before Gearmas and all through the lands
The Gearheads were restless and wringing their hands
As they waited and prayed for their gear to deliver
The thoughts started creeping which made them all shiver

"What if my jacket's too big or too small
And my zippers are huge or no sliders at all?
Maybe the hide will be wrinkly or smooth
Or the color too red or too green or too blue?"

The Gearheads were nervous and dreams did not calm
As they wrestled their sheets and found sweat on their palms
For what if the jackets they hoped to appear
Turned out to be something they'd want disappear?

But as morning did rise and a package was found
They leapt from their beds and down the stairs they did bound
And tearing the wrapping to discover with pride
Did they wear perfect jackets they'd not wish to hide

So nervous be not nor tizzy do bunch
For Gearheads your fears have you all out to lunch
Instead be ye merry and quiet your racket
Happy Gearmas to all and to all a good jacket!

We're pretty unsophisticated as far as copy goes! "Lights and sounds!" usually does the trick! lol

This thread really gave me a laugh. This is one of those "You know you are a COW member when...you have bad dreams about zippers, liners, and sliders."

What type of leather did you order and when did you put your order in?

I got it in goatskin and I ordered it on Nov. 16th. It took exactly a month for it to be made and shipped out.
