My Wested fit well?

Post by Oby1ITA »

Heya Boys...My Wested Raiders lambskin jacket arrived today and....ye I'm happy! :)

But i'm only dubious in one thing: Does it fit well on me? I'm european, exactly italian and i wear a 48....so i did 10 size less as the Wested uses British sizes and i've taken a 38.

i'm 1.70 centimeters tall
My chest is 37,40 with no dress.
The back lenght seems ok, as well as the shoulders and lenght of the arm.

The one thing i was disappointed is: "does the arms are too much thin?"
Maibe it's a my impression because i'm the smaller size and the arms are thin as well.

:| I ask it because i dunno if i have to change it for a 40...bad mistake?

Well.. How does it fit? :| :)

Ah don't look at the trousers....it was about just to laugh a few...and also the puppies on the right

No replyes?

If you need just more serious photos just ask....because i have to consider to send it back the jacket and take a 40 instead of a 38, and do it as fast as possible...

IMO, it looks great. The sleeves don't seem too thin at all.. but how do your arms feel when you move them around? do they feel constricted or does the sleeve slide around them comfortably? From the pictures, they look just fine

well....when i don't feel constricted when i move the arms....just when i close them to my chest i feel a few constricted ( off course, that's because i'm wearing a leather jacket)....i'm just disappointed on this....

Well....i'll put more pictures in the next hour so you can see if the sleeves are really thin or short.

:[ I see Wested has delved into the smaller sizes. Just kidding. The jacket look good. I wouldn't try to change sizes right off. Also, for us to give our opinions, you really should be wearing pants that we can use to see where the jacket falls on you. It looks a hair long, but that can be because of the pants.

Fit on the chest and arms look very good, sleeve length looks spot on.

The body may be slightly long but that could be the pants.

I definitely wouldn't go up a size.

I would dowse it in water and toss it in the dryer, but that's just me. That would take off some length. If you don't want much length taken off, forgo the dryer and let it air dry. However, if you prefer that it stay looking newer longer (which is understandable) then forget about the water. :o

Nice jacket, but I think it might be just a touch too long.

Also, tucking your shirt into your sweatpants ins't going to get you nominated for any fashion awards, although neither will Indy's pants.

That's a good looking jacket!!!!! Now don't take it off. Sleep in it, wear it in the rain, really beat on it. You're gonna love it!

I have the same jacket, and it is the best jacket I've ever owned.

you have the CS vibe going on......longer length in the body and sleeves. it looks good on you. i think the chest fits you well.

if you want the raiders vibe, go tighter and shorter on body and sleeves. personally, i don't think it would warrent changing the jacket as it does look good on you ;-)

post edited...take a look to these :)

i'm listening many of you and i'm thinking to keep it. Anyway, i'll tell you why i was disappointend about the problem of the sleeves: I was looking at the DVD Kingdom of the Cristal Skull and i saw that the Sleeves in the movies were larger.....while the ones on Raiders are thin......take a look at that.... :[

I DEFINITELY wouldn't go any bigger - any bigger and you'll be swimming in it. I agree with Bigrex - I'd even throw it in the washing machine on either cold or warm (depending on how adventurous you are), let it drip dry until it's 80% dry and then wear it until it moulds to you. You'll love it.

It's one of the best jackets around as far as SA goes. However, durability is not good.....mine is only a few months old and already falling apart....cheap jacket.

I think the jacket looks great on you as it is; any larger and it would look like you were wearing another person's jacket.

The fit in the neck and shoulders is very good. The sleeves are perfect for Raiders. Like KT said, the only thing that I see that may be off just a tad, is the length of the body. It is not bad for KotCS, but it is a little long on you for Raiders. However, if you are not wearing full Indy gear, the length fits in with today's style better than a true Raiders length.

The only thing else that I could add, is that a picture from the front and rear with the jacket zipped up would allow us to see how it fits in the body a little better. You definitely DO NOT need to get a bigger size. Shorter maybe, but not bigger.

Smaller does not exists....and even if it does, a 36 would be small on the torso as i am 37,40.

I hold this 38....after looking on the mirrors for few minutes i'm really thinking is my right size! yeeee

:whip:

I agree with coronado3 ;-)

yeah, what they said!

My Wested Raiders that I am wearing today has the waist coming to my belt-line. The 'waiter jacket' or "80's cut" is the Raiders look.

I'd say that this one's length is more in keeping with a ToD. Not bad, per se - it's a saught-after look...but with that length it's definitely not a Raiders cut.

i was watching at ROTLA and: to have an idea of the lenght, take a look at the scene when Indy is inside the cave for the gold statue....to be accurate, when he's in the room and it's clearly in feet, you can see where the jacket falls....

Well...in that scene i see the jacket falls more than the belt line, so i think you are mistaken :-k

Well, that kind of depends on what kind of pants he's wearing. If he's wearing pants that go up to the waistline, like Indy, it would be too short, but if he's wearing "modern" low-riding pants, it could very well be the right length.
