a different take on the indy boot.

Bags, Boots, Shirts and all other gear should be discussed here.

if you like the style of indy boots but don't like the high ankle on them then you guys should check these out. entirely screen accurate... as long as you keep your pants long.

That is pretty cool - those look like shoes I might wear in dressier places than the boots, when I still want to have the Indy look. I can't afford them, but they're still nice.

I believe that shoe is the Alden #40 which was in their catalog many years ago. They would still have the patterns.

Just and FYI to everybody...

Tom from Leathersoul is making up a pair of these in the regular ankle boot design...They will have the same specs as the ultimat indy leathersoul boot from earlier this year but will be in the same leather as this low cut pair...Just for those who are interested...

I think the price will be $450...

you are referring to the original shoes posted, correct? so if tom is making a dark brown indy boot in an oiled kudu (???)....i'm assuming it would have pretty close specs to alden-of-carmel's AF64 material?

Comparison

Post by Indiana MarkVII »

So if anyone gets a pair of the Leather Soul exclusive Ultimate Indy boot, I wonder how it compares with the AB Indy boot that Mark Kitter spent so much time researching. Any one have the two pairs to compare?

Also for those of you interested Tom is also having another bunch of these in coming months as well..I know a bunch of the members on here fell in love with this pair the first time Tom released them...

http://www.leathersoulhawaii.com/2008/0 ... uede-indy/

Turn around time for both of these (Kudu Ultimate Indy's and Snuff Indy's) pairs should be around 5 - 6 months...

I ordered a pair of ultimate Indy boots from Leather Soul. I have been waiting for them for about 6 months or so for Aldens to make them.I can't wait. I will post some pics when they arrive - which will probably be around Christmas time.

who has the snuff suede's? i have the tan suede's.....i'd love to see pics of the snuff suede's outside of that horrible store lighting.

i was completely surprised as to what mine really looked like when i got them......surprised for the better. i was planning on 'settling for the colour' and wishing they were another colour that i imagined....when i received them, they were that colour! i love those boots and have since put them away for the winter......snow and suede don't mix
