Terry sent me a few extra falls with his poppers already attached...
Im thinking i might switch over to my nylon poppers myself..... they last longer might just make one a bit heavier/longer though for this whip.

Same here David, Terry’s poppers aren’t anything fancy, His take on them was that people where just going to put on their own anyway when they got the whips. I actully prefer the nylon ones I make, i think they work better for a heavy bullwhip like this.

Shane, The poppers he makes are made out of a heavily waxed twisted polypropylene twine that in design tapers down a bit to the fluff. I think it’s the same stuff he uses to bind the inside of the whips. As far as I can tell, It’s a little different then the normal stuff you find here in the U.S. it’s a bit heavier, less brittle. The poppers are roughly 16 inches long when new though and are made to be cut down as they wear away. He’s been sending 3 spare falls with poppers already attached to them with each Indy 4 whip. Also You commented earlier on the lightness of the handle, so I just wanted to mention that there is very little lead used in the handles of these whips, unlike your Stenhouse or whips made by Morgan, its just there to help bulk up the turkshead. The weight of these bullwhips are definitely in the thong. What are his made of? Are they polyproplene? I make mine out of that stuff, but I really like the nylon poppers. Did you pay extra for the falls? How many did he send? That's great!

My 8ft KOTCS Jacka whip arrived today and I absolutely love it, I will try and post some pics later (can't get it working at the Mo) Thanks Terry and Thanks Dan for getting this sorted out for us!!
Aha! Thanks, Dan! Those sound like pretty awesome poppers, if you ask me. Real tough sounding!BullWhipBorton wrote:Shane, The poppers he makes are made out of a heavily waxed twisted polypropylene twine that in design tapers down a bit to the fluff. I did read up on Terry's whips after ordering, and noticed that he's got a fiberglass core in the handle - that's pretty cool. After using Justin771's at the QM, I definitely noticed the weight was in the thong. I wasn't complaining about the light handle, just observing how it was different from the Morgan style whips I'm used to. But I really love Terry's whips, and they're a LOT of fun.
