I think I'll do the same, this is bound to be pretty cool.

As much as I absolutely enjoy DeLongis' take on the art, I can't help but notice that he is doing a fine job of classifiying the whip as a weapon on a public scale. Kind of concerns me in the long run.

Hopefully I can get my hands on a copy.
He has a valid point Shagbd, but I don't think it's reaching a wide amount of people out there but only people in martial arts, whips and some other stuff.

It's a very good read. I would suggest we all read it at some point to get an idea of where Anthony is coming from and how his style of whip work works. I look forward to the second part.

picked up the second part in current issue. Missed the first part. Noticed they have a video of him demonstrating his technique on blackbeltmag site. Just search De Longis. Was cool to watch.

Oh my aching fingers! Went out with my 6' and tried the really rapid fast-figure 8 transition seen in the video. Keep hitting the fingers of my whip hand. My heavy transition and foot work are suspect. I need to work on the alignment on the "off"side of my body to get a really clean and directed fast-figure 8 on that side so quickly. Looks cool when it works and hurts when it don't!

I feel a great swell of pity for any would-be attacker charging into that! A veritable banquet of pain!

Oh man, I cringe every time I watch him demonstrate the ''beat you down'' part. :o
