G&B Expedition: Decision Time

Post by feathers73 »

I have been wanting to order an Expedition in lambskin for a long time. I have a goat US wings and feel it is too heavy for my comfort level. I have a G&B authentic horsehide in 48Long but it has a uniform fit and I just don't want that for my expedition. I have a 51 chest. Can't decide between a 50L or 52L although the website says they add extra material and that you should select the size based on your actual measurements. In otherwords, don't try to compensate. What has been your experience?

thanks

I thought the largest they make was a 48. Is this is custom? What would they charge you?

But to answer your question I think the 50L would work well if you don't want extra room in the chest.

I guess they do make larger. They said a 50L would be no problem and I could exchange it if it didn't fit.

I normally wear a 42 but it was too big for me. I had to send it back and the 40L was fine. It seems that G&B run a bit big.

I agree that with G&B you can generally order one size down.

Just to confuse matters. I normally wear a 42 reg. For G&B I have a 42 T and it fits perfectly... 40 woudl be way to small. :whip:

My experience has been that I normally wear a size 44. My 44T Expo fits me like it was tailor made for me, so the 'one size down' would not work for me.

Well, I do get my expos in a longer length. The other military jackets that I have, have a little extra length built into them just because of their military design. Cheers

I generally wear about a 40T. I ordered my Expedition in 40T and it fits like it was custom made for me.
