let me bore you with a couple more pictures of my LC HH
I have been wearing this jacket as much as I can since the summer.June,I think thats when I got this jacket.cant remember exactly...
but let me tell you about the horsehide.
it IS really one of westeds best hides.at first I really like the hide only casue I knew it was a strong hide and could take a beating...then the grain started to show...at first I hated it,but thats just me...maby becasue I was so used to lambskin with very little grain, mostly smooth all over....anyways..I water treated this jacket.I soaked it.it became utlra stiff after it dryed up.and guess what..more grain of course.but I got used to it though..and glad I did.And Let me tell you how incredible soft this hide has become after that...it really feels like a thick lambskin cause it is so soft to touch and it drapes so nice, but it has the strength of a real Indy jacket should have had.
if you are considering a strong thicker more durable hide.. then go for the HH.you wont regret it.
thanks CM for making me see the light! I will never, ever sell this baby.

I can only agree! Horsehide is the way to go. I have a Wested Raiders-style myself, and I think it is the best jacket I EVER had. It drapes sooo nice, and seems to carry all the weight you'll need to go adventuring in the jugle... I won't say that I feel invulnerable, but I definetly feel more protected against all sorts of rough terrain...
Very nice jacket!!

holt,
i think platon is just commenting on the fact that if looking at your jacket is 'boring'......as in 'really interesting' like the way you've joked about it in your title.....he is 'bored' in the sense that he is very interested....'to death'.
that's how i read into it......and i have to be careful of how i read into things these days (hey CM??? ).
then again, if he did mean the other way, i can hold him for you while you show off your gigantic fists to him ;-)

at least you reacted in a more dignified way than what i did........michaelson almost nuked the thread. i regret posting what i did and have since pm'd CM and we are both cool as iceIndiana Holt wrote:I know my friend.I dont have the time to think about it LOL.
I just reacted to it in the same way Bink did.
now carry on Eric!!! ;-)
but back on topic........are you planning to do a distressing job on this guy? back when you first posted in the jacket section, i recall you did one of the best distressing jobs that i've seen here. i could tell by your work that it took alot, and i mean alot, of patience. do you still have that jacket? i think it was a raiders.
anyways, i don't see too many distress jobs on your jackets these days and i just wanted to say that back then, i was thinking of sending you one of mine for a 'holt treatment'.......with compensation of course....
no.its not going to be distressed. only when or IF i deicide to get another more detailed LC from Peter.then maby yes,I will distress it for
costume/mannequin only.....but thats just all in the future.
now I am waiting for the raiders.
yes I have the raiders distressed jacket.its on my display in progress. man, come to think of it...I could never go out in public with such a distressed jacket..never
send it to me my friend.no prob,I'll do it..but send it with a hat.hehehe ;-)
