Buckle question

Post by Michaelson »

What seems to be the current popular U. S. supplier of the rectangular rings for the side straps lately?

I haven't been keeping up with this info for a while, and don't know who the 'current favorite' is at this time.

Don't know the exact purpose you need them for but if it is for a G&B they'll pay to have the jacket shipped back and forth and will only charge you for the rings and instalation. They sold them to me a while back but when I tried again years later this is the story they gave me.

No, it was a general question I received yesterday.

I, too, have used G&B's service in buckle help and gave them that information as well, but they wanted the name of a more generalized supplier. Like I said, I haven't paid that much attention to it, hense the question.

Thanks!

I currently have the D-rings on my Wested. I'm looking to make the straps SA and also not come undone all the time. What is the recommendation?

Rectangular sliders or tri-glides I believe.

And I suppose tri-glide installation is something best left to the professionals?

Some of the wire formed tri glides can be opened with pliers and installed yourself. Others are formed as one solid piece and would require unstitching the side strap.
