I searched but , well, every post has 'Pecards' in it. I also read the sticky on Pecards, but still am unsure -Lotion, Dressing, Weatherproof Dressing or Creme (Jell)?
What does everyone use when they generically say 'I 'Pecarded it'? As it applies to the jackets...the smooth leather not the Novapelle.
Wested Horsehide...which Pecards?

Go real easy whatever you use. Any horsehide has a tight grain, and if you have a Wested that hasn't been beat-up much most of whatever you put on it will probably just sit on the surface. I own 3 horsehide jackets, and have never treated them with anything. It's naturally water resistant to begin with, and most manufacturers don't recommend any treatment be applied for 5 to 10 years, if ever.
Of course, it can't hurt, but it probably won't do much either.

Well, the GOOD think about using the Pecards standard (or jell for that matter) is if he DOESN'T soak all the way in and just lays there, apply low heat from a hand dryer to the location until the product liquifies, then wipe it off with a clean cotton rag.
That's all there is to it!
