Ooh! How much did that cost? I'm about to buy my first 12" Indy figure this week, and I hate the plastic whip that it comes with. Seriously, that is the coolest little thing I've ever seen!
P.S.- I also want a miniature leather jacket for my Indy, too. I wonder if Wested would start making little custom Indy jackets for us?

Try dropping Lauren a line, I can't remember exactly how much it was. (I do remember it was slightly extravagant!).
And as for the mini Westeds... errr no, don't think so! You can get little biker jacket keyrings out there, though It would be a scary coincidence if they fitted a 12" figure.
PS. They could sell you a yard or 2 of lambskin to make your own I suppose!

I already e-mailed her. Since she's here in the US (local for me), I'll be spared the exorbitant shipping fees. For my first foray into the world of 12" figures, I'm getting the Hasbro Temple of Doom Indy doll. Since the khyber sword looks like a toy, the Noble Collection letter opener seems like a suitable replacement. It certainly looks SA to my discerning eyes. I wonder how long the blade is (if it would scale correctly to a 12-inch Indiana Jones figure)?

This custom whip ( not made by lauren AFAIK ) also LOOKS way better than the standard sideshow accessory
In fact I think it looks super accurate
I like the whip on your Indy Kt ! much better !, now get some faux leather strap and canas to make a little MKVII ?

I think the Sideshow bullwhip is probably cast from rubber. The plaiting on the wrist loop would be physically impossible to braid with human hands. I agree that Lauren's whip is superior because it is actually hand-crafted from kangaroo leather.
P.S.- While we're on the subject of gearing up miniature Indys, I wonder how long the lead time would be if Steve started crafting little AB fedoras for our figures?

That is not a sideshow whip it looks like a handmade bullwhip with a fall and cracker.whipwarrior wrote:I think the Sideshow bullwhip is probably cast from rubber. whipwarrior,
Here is a picture of the whip on a standard playing card, and you can see a bit of the detail from that (the teeny tiny fall hitch is my favorite part!). I'll email you back about pricing asap... we just finally got internet in our new place, and the shop is about half unpacked by now, so everything should be back up and running normally within the next couple of days. I'd have to do the math again to give you an exact length (it's been awhile since I made Kt Templar's), but I used ratios assuming the 12" figure was a 6ft man, and the whip was a 10ft whip, so it should be scaled pretty accurately.
Kt Templar, thanks for posting that picture. I'm happy it worked so well - it looks great hanging from his belt!
