FINALLY! I ordered my first Wested!

Post by buletman »

Okay, I first want to thank EVERYONE who has ever spoken to me about this jacket, I wouldn't have ordered it if I hadn't talked to everyone. Anyway, here are the stats:

Temple, Auth. Brown Lamb (butter), cotton body/satin sleeves, brass, antique brass d rings (may not be screen accurate, but i love d rings).

Extras: Elastic between action pleats (I heard Peter doesn't like doing this, but I heard it solves a problem that occurs on some leather jackets with action pleats. If this is not true, then leave this out), Gussets, Two {2} (one on each side between the chest and outside pocket, big enough for a cell phone/wallet) non-outlined inside pockets, Hidden stormflap button, and a name tag "Chad".

Well, I will take pictures as soon as I get it. If you guys want more info, such as size, just post it, and I will post it ;). I'm SO excited (starts singing ###* song).

While I like the Raiders gear better, I think Temple of Doom had the best music of the three films.

Shwammy, what does this have to do with my post? Because I ordered a temple? If that is the case...I got temple because of length. :P...

I got my confirmation e-mail!!:

Dear Chad

Hi buletman

Congrats on your order, now you have to play the waiting game......waiting.....still waiting.....to paraphrase Homer Simpson, "I'm bored of the waiting game, let's play cluedo!"
But seriously, I'm sure your jacket will be great, wear it well!

Regards

Alan

Man, you newbies and you're "long wait" for jackets.

If you come across some very old posts of mine, you'll see how I stated that I waited for 11 years for a particular set of items. I won't go into details on the board, as to not besmirch any vendors here... as it was not their fault, but if you ever make it to a summit I'm attending, I may share the story.

Actually, I was just in the city at the beginning of September, but as it was for my anniversary, I didn't think I should announce it and take time off for Indy "guy" stuff. Probably break the mood.

There are quite a few New Yawkas on board. I might be up for the drive if something was arranged.

Yeah, I'm sure your wife would be thrilled to hear you are gonna go hang out with the guys on your anniversary :P....anyway, 11 years is a long time to wait, but as Goldmember once said "Too bad for yoooooouuuuuu...shaiza..."
