Ok so I've decided NOT to go with the Mutt TN jacket. However, now I am faced with getting a Jacka CS whip or a Wested TOD jacket. Please give me y'alls opinions. Thanks
This is one of the most apples and oranges things I have ever read. Do you currently have a jacket, or a whip? Do you already have more than one of each?
If so I would be more for the Wested. While the Jacka whip is nice because it's different, it's limited screen time and use in my least favorite movie would sway me to go TOD. I also like the idea of the original hardware Peter is using for the first 60-65 jackets. They most likely will not be available forever. I would say what do you NEED more?

if you buy just one, you'll always end up thinking about what if you bought the other.....save yourself the heartache and buy both.....the mortgage can wait
I had to vote for jacket, because let's face it, a leather jacket is a more practical item. I wear mine for nearly half of the year, while I only take out my bullwhip for the occasional whipcracking session, and for photos. But it's up to you in the end, so choose... wisely. ;-)
Good point, Holt. I remember back in the late 90's when I was biting my nails at the prospect of dropping $500 on my first DM bullwhip. So I e-mailed David and asked him how long he would be offering the Indy whips for sale, and he replied: "Gather ye rosebuds while ye may." Now look- 10 years later and he's not even making them anymore. His staff of trained whipmakers have taken over production. So yes, go for the LIMITED EDITION ToD Wested jacket!
The jacket receives my vote as well. Personally not a a fan of the Jacka whip's and you also have a very fine whip in your Strain. Another leather jacket is always nice, especially one as limited as Wested Leather's initial TOD offering.

That is a great point, and the very reason I have spent much more coin on jackets than the whips. I get so much more use from the jackets with daily use.

You gotta go for the jacket, its more practical. I don't know much about whips, but you already have a Strain which I hear is pretty nice. Besides the jacket is limited and like Holt and whipwarrior say, who knows how much longer Peter will be doing this?
