Wested Leather...

Post by WConly »

Just a compliment to Wested, Peter and Gemma. Years ago, I ordered a black LC in Lamb from them. Three months had gone by and I was concerned, so I contacted them...Peter informed me that it was probably being held up in customs as this was right after 911 and he assured me that it had been shipped some time ago. Well, I relaxed and waited and sure enough it arrived very soon after this! And, it is a beauty! Even my wife borrows it from time to time.

I cannot say a bad word regarding my five Wested's! They are all wonderful and Peter/Gemma, I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate your quality and work.

I wore my distressed 'Indy' jacket last night to church and had many compliments. Oh, by the way I have put press studs on all I have that did not come as original order. Thank you again, and for all who order from Wested I don't think you will be disapointed.

I have had a few small issues with seams from time-to-time, but all miner...as I can be a bit rough on my clothing. Thanks again, to Wested and all you do! W>

Can you post some pics of your jackets? I'm very curious to see the black one.

WConly, we do not see you around much. Too often we hear the fanatical 'over the top' praise for Wested and of course, the negatives. It is nice to see a thread that is neither, yet sincere.

Thanks Rick! Not too long ago, my distressed cow hide had a problem with the seams in one of the pockets -- so I took it to my dry cleaners who employ a really good seamstress. Well, a week went by and my wife went in to pick it up and was shocked at the price as they had sent it out to be cleaned. I about came unglued as did my wife who protested that I do not have them (leather) cleaned that I take care of them myself. So, they backed off and dropped the fee down to nothing but the repairs. Fortunitly I was able to get it back into great shape with my Picard's!

Boy! You give an 'inch' and they try to 'take your hide  !' Literally! W>
