How do you wear your bag....and holster?
With Halloween in just a few days (and this being the first Halloween I have a jacket! ) I thought I would ask how some of you wear your bag and holster.
1) For the best Raiders look should I wear the bag hanging over my whip, or behind me? I guess this could vary depending on the scene, but which do you guys think looks better?
2) For the best Raiders look, should I wear my holster with my jacket covering the top of it up, or have the bottom of my jacket behind the holster. Again, I suppose could vary, but which do ya'll think looks better?
I hope this wasn't too dumb and/or confusing, but any input would be appreciated.
Thanks guys,
IB

The simple answer is put everything where it is comfortable, feels right, and where you can get to it.
I tend to wear the bag behind the whip, as I find the stack I whip, bag, and jacket bulk out too much for easy movement in crowds. The jacket usually covers the top of the holster unless the belt is loosened such that the grip hang below the jacket. A sweep of the covering garment is part of my standard draw motion anyway.
Put on the gear, jump up and down a couple times, see where stuff settles, walk around, reach into the bag to get something and see if it is where it needs to be, etc.

Oh, my strap buckle is definitely in the center of my chest....where it's supposed to be. ;-) Unlike the CS strap.I'd have the bag over the whip with the strap buckle in the center of your chest... not 3/4 of the way down towards the bag, ala CS.

Bag doesn't need to be over the whip. Watch Indy in the Castle Brunwald when rescuing dad. Whip in front, bag on side.
As for the buckle location, I've seen it slide up and down in all the movies. The location of the buckle depends on where Indy has the bag. Somtimes it hangs at his side, sometimes it is behind him, and I've even seen it between his legs (see LC when he thinks he is "well out of range")
So I would say the buckle should be in the middle of the body when the bag is straight to the side, but doesn't have to stay there.

What I like to do for the holster is stick it between the back panel of the jacket and the side panels, where the pull straps are. This way the jacket doesn't have to be pushed back, and you can see the holster and everything. You can kind of see how I do it in this picture:

It's worth noting also that I usually have my buckle in the middle of my chest, but I had the bag pushed way back in this picture, behind the whip.

Thanks guys. And I like the pic McFly. Thanks.
I'm well aware of the whip hanging in between Indy's legs in TOD and LC, but since I was going for a Raiders look (all my gear is Raiders stuff) I was wandering what would look the best. But I don't guess it matters a whole lot; none of Indy's gear stays in the same place anyway.
But thanks for the input guys. It's very much appreciated.

Oh yeah, there was a holster in that pic... sorry, I was distracted by Dejah's smoldering glareMcFly wrote:What I like to do for the holster is stick it between the back panel of the jacket and the side panels, where the pull straps are. Seriously, I like to wear my bag over the whip, but it often slides behind it. It also depends on where I am and what I'm doing (i.e. am I accessing the bag a lot, if I am, it typically slides to the front).
As for the holster, I'll either wear it as Shane does, or place it low enough that it isn't an issue with the jacket. Peter cut my jacket really short and it allows it. I actually like the shortness factor of my jacket.
