Who makes the whips for Western Stage Props?

Post by Indydawg »

I thought David Morgan just made David Morgan whips....did he make whips that would have been purchased through Western Stage Props?

Later!

Hi Indydawg,

We've been supplying whips to WSP for the past 8 years or so, and as far as I know David Morgan hasn't supplied any to WSP. I could be wrong, as he may have back before Joe Strain started supplying whips for them.

Have you heard otherwise?

Regards,

Paul Nolan

Hi Indydawg,

I've been trying to reply to your PM, but for some reason it won't go through. If you could send me an email to whipmaker@midwestwhips.com I can reply to you there.

Indydawg,

To the best of my knowledge David Morgan has never supplied any whips to WSP, although he has supplied his whips to other whip retailers in the past.

The Indy whips sold by WSP were originally made by Joe Strain, but he no longer sells his Indy whips to WSP, and they can be purchased directly from him: www.northernwhipco.com

Many of the Indy whips sold by WSP these days are made by Paul Nolan and Lauren Wickline: www.midwestwhips.com

Another two whipmakers from which WSP buys Indy whips are Russell Schultz www.rpschultzwhips.com and myself, Bernardo del Carpio: www.delcarpiowhips.com

Hope that answers your question.

Regards,

Bernardo

Thanks, guys!

That answers all my questions and, I think, might solve my current whip issues-namely getting my Stenhouse fixed, and getting another, good, used, backup to be able to interchange as needed.

Much obliged, gents!

Brisco,

The official Zorro whip is made by Joe Strain.
The Son of Zorro whip is made be Paul Nolan (not Bob Nolan of the Sons of the Pioneers)

For a lot of good information on those whips, see this thread (Zorro Whip) that I started about a month and a half ago.
